At Li'l red wagon they want washi tape.
I've used 2 strips of blue washi n this card.
At Li'l red wagon they want washi tape.
I've used 2 strips of blue washi n this card.
At Double Trouble challenges they want white with one colour.
I've chosen "opera pink" as my one colour and used a versatile flower stamp I have owned for years.
My cardstock is shiny so it takes longer for the ink to dry,but I like the effect.
I also used up some alphas in a matching colour, for my sentiment.
The dirty marks are on my scanner ,not the card.
Next I have made a card for Simon says stamp where the emphasis is on recycling.
I started with 2 lots of packaging, one was from a Fancy Pants mini book and the other was Kaisercraft flowers.
Next I used a cream paper from the centre of a scrapbook album plastic sleeve.I stamped it with "memories" stamp then coloured over it with "Old Paper" distress ink.
I used a ticket shape again cut from packaging,(Maggie Holmes) and used a chipboard oval shape. The tiny sheep was cut from an old Easter card. The other 2 items are from Cosmo Cricket. The black tassel came from a bra I bought,it was on the packaging tag.
I haven't put a sentiment on it yet as I'm not sure how I will use it.
Here's my cousin Pat with 2 of her grandchildren. I've used a variety of embellishments and my final touch is sequins top right and bottom left.
I really like the way this came together and might scraplift myself at some stage.
Lasting Memories says
LM #591 - Finishing Touches - Enamel dots/shapes, brads, sequins, bling, Nuvo drops - pull out those supplies we love to use for finishing touches and add them to your layout.
I've chosen a tropical theme involving mainly pinks. There's no sentiment as I want to use it for a note card.
They gave us this colour palette and we are asked to use succulents.
The closest I could find was this yukka. So I put that on my card.
I found this sketch on Sketch Saturday so made a card.
I've used another sketch at Sketch 'n 'scrap to finish off my kit. All the whole sheets of paper are used now. This is the sketch
I adhered a red flower in the bottom corner, keeping the Christmas idea going, and used red alphas. dribbles of red mist complete my layout.
**********************************************************************************
I've also just made a card for Double trouble challenges.
Requirement one was to use plaid. Second requirement was green. I've done both on here.
Also on Seize the Birthday where they want green ans white.
Here's another layout for Lasting Memories.
This time they want punches, dies and or ephemera.
On this layout I have used 7 corner tabs punched. The original machine cuts one side longer than the other so I trimmed them to make them even. 4 are around the photos and 3 are down the side. I chose Christmas colours for those. The 3 small pictures top left are cut from a Darkroom Door filmstrip. Also on here is my title (ephemera ) I cut from an old Christmas card.
The above is a sketch we are asked to copy for Sketch and Scrap. This layout was done by Lori.
Mine only has one photo so is slightly different, but I used the same combination of papers and sizes.
I used 2 main papers from my kit which suited the little girl theme. The other strips I found in my scrap bags. The happy and buttons, enamel dots, collectables and labels were all in my counterfeit kit.
Our challenge this month is to embrace the mess, life unfiltered. Show your life as it really is behind the scenes. Find the beauty behind the mess.
I don't know about the last part but this layout shows typical me.
3 books on the go,often reading more than one at once, (hence 2 bookmarks) ,my glasses and also a puzzle magazine. I like word puzzles mainly. You could say I'm a typical librarian! The only thing missing is a cup of tea and a cat. LOL.
I used Prima paper "Bloom ......?" I've forgotten the range and can't find it online. plus the yellow floral is Kaisercraft Paisley Days collection.
I've used offcuts of a book paper and an old K & Co. paper, plus the 2 bingo cards and some stickers. My alphas are Jillybean soup Grandmas Lima bean soup. I tore the papers and curled top and bottom then inked using "old paper" distress ink.
Hope you like it!
I'm not very well today so I'm making a few cards to help pass the time.
The first is for Crafty Gals corner where they want us to add a flower.
I recently bought some big flowers in a sale ,so used a bright green one on this get well card.
My sentiment can apply to a variety of illnesses.
Next is Freshly made sketches
My sentiment means it covers a variety of uses.
My scanner won't work so had to photograph these. Here's a group of 3.
I've also used 2 x 2 strips of washi behind my photo instead of matting it.The embellishments are from Kaisercraft and were in my kit.
My alphas are brighter and I used the date instead of words.
And here's the other half of the story! I did this layout 10 years ago. Totally different style.
I'm combining a sketch challenge and a theme challenge here.
Firstly at Let's get sketchy there is this.
They have started up again and in fact used a sketch I've done previously on their site.
At Li'l red wagon they have a B challenge.
I've used another scrap offcut from my Counterfeit Kit on this card.
I then added a sentiment from Kaisercrat plus a butterfly which was cut from an old picture dictionary I owned as a child.
Next is a card for Try stamping on Tuesday
I've tried to use shades of green but there's other colours there too.
I've decided to scraplift Karen Pietruszkiewicz, who put this layout on Counterfeit Kit Community.
I'm using the 2 vine papers that I put in the Counterfeit kit this month.
The photo is of my daughter's garden. As she lives in a townhouse, this is the best she can do.
It needed a flamingo and I knew I had bright pink flamingo paper about 10 years ago. So into the pink scrap bag I went .Out came a tiny piece I had kept with 2 flamingos intact. I fussy cut one for this layout.
Darn blogger! I copied Karen's name and it has highlighted all the text. (sorry).
I've made 2 cards using yellow.
Both feature the same Kaiser craft paper Paisley Days collection.
The first features 3 sun wood veneers which are painted gold and the word smile which is glued on top of the central sun. I also used yellow and orange ribbon on this. Very sunny and bright!
On the second I used some yellow cardstock and alphas ,plus 3 sheep jumping over fences. I've put the word hello as my sentiment.
This is my entry for Alphabet challenge blog. It will be an Easter card for my nephews.
My next layout is for Freaky Fast Formula at The scrap room.
This layout shows those items,
I had fun on this one with the stamps I included in my kit. There were a few that were useful, especially the arrows! All kit items on here.
I've made 2 cards using smaller papers in my kit.
The first is for My time to craft and features an embossed strip.
Cardz4galz has a things with wings challenge.
Last months Counterfeit kit had some large butterflies ,which I made tags with. I've used one of them on this card. I left the gold toned background blank because that way the tag stands out.
I've made 2 more layouts both for my daughter's album. The first is for The Scraproom group on facebook where they want us to use the letters in CHARM.
I've used C= car, corners H=hearts A= adore R= ribbon M= mat (under the photo.)
The challenge at More than words this month is
Hence my layout's name, Magpie Kisses.
Instead of pretty papers I used corrugated cardboard.I traced around a shaped paper and cut the scalloped edges. Next I inked book page and used it as part of my matting.I also cut out a bird shape from the book paper.
My fence was hand drawn on plain brown scrapbook paper and put under the photo. My alphas suited the rustic feel as well. The poem is on the left and the tag on the right explains the poem.
