Another Christmas card, this time for Dragonfly dreams where they want things that fly.
I fussy cut around a dove and repurposed it on to this Christmas card wishing Peace and Joy.

Ike's world and Saturday sketch challenge
My next Christmas card is for Ike's world where the theme is gingham.
I've used a red and white gingham paper as my background, plus 2 strips which have a checked pattern as well. I made a tag using washi tape and added 3 enamel dots.
Next I'm joining in with this sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday

I'm still making Christmas cards wherever possible, determined to avoid that last minute panic.
I chose a polkadot paper for the bottom half of this card but the dots are in rows so you could see stripes if you look hard enough. :)
The strip across the middle contains Christmas words and the foam Christmas tree made a good finishing touch. Bright and cheerful I think!
Christmas card throwdown and Less is More.
At Christmas card throwdown they want us to use ribbon.
I've made a tall card and layered some Christmas colours namely silver, gold and a touch of lime.
I chose the 2 different widths of ribbon and made a loose loop with a stitch in the centre to hold it all in place. Over the stitch I placed a lime and silver star.
The corrugated cardboard base and tiny gold spot paper made it look completed.
My sentiment matches the colours.

One more challenge before lunch, Less is more
I have a sheet of Christmas stickers that I'm using where I can.
I put 3 tiny mice on a 2 inch square and added it to plain red cardstock.
My sentiment is hand written also small.

My time to craft and Freshly made sketches
At My time to craft ,I have made a Christmas card.
Their theme is Christmas in July.
I used 2 strips of patterned paper vertically and used velvet ric-rac down the centre.I added a square of white fibre and a silver snowflake. My sentiment says wish.
I also submitted this one to Watercooler Wednesdays
***********************************************************************
My second is for Freshly Made sketches where I went minimalist with another Christmas card.

Here's their sketch
Let's get sketchy.
Here's the layout sketch at Let's get sketchy.
Firstly I had a purple floral paper in my kit from which I fussy cut the flowers.
Next I layered them and added magic mount behind some petals to make them stand up.
My 2 pink papers and coloured strip are also from my Counterfeit kit.
I found some old photos of my husband and 4 month old daughter in the front garden. There was only 2, but they go well with the papers and theme.

Case this sketch
Here's the latest Case this sketch.
I started with a green floral paper plus green vellum over the top.
Next I used washi tape to make the 2 stripes. The flower and centre added a third dimension to my card.

Li'l red wagon and Mod Squad.
The criteria at Li'l red wagon is sewing ,either real or faux.
On my card there is a combination of both.
The centre tree has faux stitching around the edge. The ribbon at the bottom of the card has stitches incorporated in it.
I'm also entering at Mod Squad challenge where they have a Christmas theme.

Christmas Card Throwdown and Cardz4guyz
At Christmas card throwdown there is a theme challenge.
The theme is to use a non-traditional image.
I started by fussy cutting around 3 children carrying gifts. They're meant to represent the 3 wise men, but obviously aren't.Therefore they're non traditional.
I mounted them on a gingham checked paper.
The strip across the bottom features cherries, again non traditional.
At Cardz4guyz they want transport. I've made this Fathers Day card using 3 stickers featuring vintage cars. The sentiment means it will be suitable for any male.

Mystical cyber crop challenges
There are 3 challenges at Mystical scrapbooks.
The first is a mood board.
The first is a mood board.
I chose the snowy road picture and worked in shades of grey, silver and yellow.
The 2 doileys, ribbon and alphas are from my Counterfeit kit.
Next is a tic tac toe
I've decided to go across the top row.
I used 2 floral papers from my Counterfeit kit. The top one features a shaped blue paper from Ruby-rock-it August Moon range.
How appropriate that I'm scrapping on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing!
I've also used 2 doileys , as well as a pleated gold circle and spotted paper behind the photos ,and the alphas from my Counterfeit kit. In fact the only thing that isn't kit is the wood veneer mushrooms.
I inked those with inca gold.

Pinspire me at Paper Issues
Here's the pinterest board we use to inspire our layout.
I started with a red and white striped paper but also found tiny spots (similar to the 100s and 1000s on the strawberries), a tiny red gingham (like the umbrella) and a red and gold star mulberry paper.
I added gold touches including half a doiley and alphas.

I saw this layout on scrapbook.com and have decided to scraplift it using my papers.

Challenge #1 plus Let's scrap sketches and Mystical
Let's scrap sketches has this
I'm celebrating one of my favourite pastries, blueberry Danish, and using one of the papers from this month's counterfeit kit.(plus scraps for the pennants).
I had fun making this layout and using up 2 ribbons in my stash as well as a blue Flourish with a bling embellishment. My alphas are sparkly which gives it more depth and I matted my photos on a paler blue.
As those FWAB are almost black I'm also entering this at Mystical scrapbooks
Here's the layout!
I've chosen to use the left hand sketch on its own for Challenge #1 at CKC ,which is blueberries.

Scraproom
Earlier this year I had a melanoma removed which required further surgery.
The initial cut hadn't removed it all so a second slice was needed and even then we weren't sure until it was tested.
My doctor took photos of the initial mole as it was a "Chaos melanoma" and unusual.
I turned my sketch sideways because most of my photos were horizontal instead of vertical.
I added my journaling on an extra tag hidden behind a photo.
All items on here were from my counterfeit kit.
Scrap room FFF
Here's the formula for the scrap room
I cut the required 4 pieces, 3 were pink toned and one was white with green flowers.
I placed them all horizontally but overlapping slightly.
Next, I used a doiley instead of a photo mat. I also had an oval frame so used that to circle myself in the small photo. Someone took this of me exploring the sights in Vienna.
The points on the oval frame match those on the lower paper.
I've used a well known quote as my title.
"Not all who wander are lost"

Use your stuff
I've made a card for Use your stuff where they want birds bees or butterflies.
The background paper is from my Counterfeit kit.
I paper pieced the bird then drew the legs and musical notes with black pen. It is a bright cheerful birthday card.

Krafty chicks and cardz4guyz
At Krafty Chicks challenge they have a recipe challenge.
I started with a dark purple background.
Next, I cut a square from cardstock. On to that I added my sentiment. I then cut 2 circles one from a patterned paper featuring a globe and a second one on which I glued buttons.
I found 2 ribbons in matching tones and placed it across the card. Voila! It's done.
*******************************************************************************
At Cardz4guyz they want black and white only.
I used a prima paper as my background and used 5 playing cards plus a strip of black for my sentiment. I hand wrote that.

Paper Issues sketch
At Paper Issues on Facebook there is a sketch challenge.
I started with striped paper from my Counterfeit kit then branched out.
I've used white and gold washi tape down the side of the photo. I fussy cut that purple floral paper and have used some of the small flowers on here.
It required a matching big flower which I sewed instead and used a similar green flower as my centre. In the middle of that is a French knot done with the same embroidery thread.
The enamel dots are pink, not white as they appear on the scan.
Also I erased the pencil lines and they can't be seen in reality but the scanner picked them up.(sigh!)
