I've opted for an easy choice, I inked a chipboard feather from Scrap FX with a cyan blue.
I also used this sketch from Let's get sketchy.
My layout is more plain because of the busy background paper.
My background paper is part of the Anthologie range,chosen for the Counterfeit kit.

Thanks for posting the photos showing how others have made their own paper-crafting feathers!!! Your layout is great! With a beautiful large patterned paper, I realize the struggle to balance additions to it with not wanting to cover up too much of the pretty paper!
I love your use of papers here - the plain papers with that gorgeous background. It does work really well.
