Paper Funday

I've made a card for Paper funday where anything goes.

Same at Crafty Girls corner

Before putting away my Christmas items for cards and scrapping I've used up a few last embellishments that were on my desk. In this case it was the 2 lollies which match the berries on the background paper.

My sentiment is a metallic red foiled shape which looks black here.

Enjoy looking.

Paper Issues wedges sketch and Lasting memories anything goes.

Paper Issues has this sketch for December.

Lasting memories has an Anything goes challenge this week

In my stash was a paper that was so bright and colourful I couldn't think how to use it, that box is now ticked.

I started by tracing a circle with a bread and butter plate then counted the wedges. There were 10. So i cut the circle into 10. I then adhered each wedge as per the picture and trimmed it off on the right hand side.

I found a photo of a champagne glass (similar shape to wedges) so matted it then placed it over the centre.

I added a few "high tea" embellishments and title and there it is.

Challenge YOUrself plus Lasting Memories

I'm combining 2 challenges today. At Challenge Yourself it is anything goes and at Lasting memories you have to use the letters of the word LIGHT on your layout as items.

I have done this:

Layers

Ink

Gold

Happy, hexagons

Tearing, Three people (I'm in the middle)

Stripes, sewing

These are my 2 best friends and we all celebrate our birthdays around the same time. We met up in September for that reason.

Through the purple haze

I've made a blue toned Christmas card for a local little boy. It is for Through the purple haze challenge

First I added a layer of plain vellum, them my embossed background. I followed this with 3 strips of blue ribbon and my sentiment, then 2 cute Christmas pictures and a tiny tartan bow.

The male room.

I'm still making Christmas cards despite not selling many this year.(I'll be well stocked next Christmas)

At the male room The Male Room (themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com) they want plaids and checks.

I've constructed a card using 2 different plaid papers plus plain black. I added a gingerbread man as a final touch. Any male, any age would like this one I think.

Lasting Memories

LM #526 - Pick 3 - Pick 3 items from the list below and add them to your layout. You can use more than 3 items and you can use items that are not on the list, but you must you at least 3 items from the list:

Doily
Heart
Flower
The color gold
The color green
Washi Tape
Tag
Circle
Chipboard

Here's my layout.
This is my daughter at a party. I've chosen doiley, tag and green.
There's also chipboard and flower(stamped)
The tag has been stamped with a Victorian lady and I carried that idea on with the chipboard dress form. The patterned paper was one of my favourites.

I highlighted and copied the criteria and it has turned this whole post white.
Bring back the old blogger,it made more sense!

Scrapping 4 fun challenges

I've used an old Kaisercraft range on this layout named "Twig and Berry" plus some crisp white lace. There's also some rhinestones which are hard to see.

The 3 ladies were staff at Mum's nursing home who got up to dance at the Christmas party. They cheer up the residents with their antics. It cheered me up to see Mum watching them and enjoying herself too.

I had to photograph this with my phone as my scanner was being unco-operative.The strips of journalling are straight.

I'm entering it on Scrapping4fun challenges, where years ago I was on their design team.

Paper Issues seafoam challenge

Paper Issues has a Seafoam challenge.

These are my colours!!

I used a 6x6 pad from Kaisercraft Chapter one plus the background paper which actually had pink flowers along the base.

I managed to cover those using the tags. The large polaroid camera tag was perfect plus the ricrac and the ticket I found. I used 8 tags on this.

The black brads were a last minute inspiration but balance with the photo I think.
