Lasting Memories Shimelle challenge

At Lasting Memories we are asked to do a layout in Shimelle's style.

I've chosen to scraplift this one. It has lots of layering.

I started with an old paper featuring tiny ducks because it is colourful. That is one of Shimelle's main features. (I did some perusing on Pinterest.)
My photo is an old one from a trip to Hawaii in 1980.

I used vellum, a tape measure and a random playing card, just like Shimelle.
Instead of a butterfly I used a large rose die cut I had here.
My photo is landscape, not portrait so the layering on the right hand side is slightly different, but still the "essence" of Shimelle is there.

**********************************************************************************

Also I created this layout for The scraproom group CANDY challenge.
I used C=coral, circles A=alphas,acorn,arrows N=numbers D= door Y=yellow.

This is one of those papers you have in your stash for years,I'm pleased to use it.
