CAS on Sunday and Jingle Belles.

I've made 2 Christmas cards, both featuring a felt reindeer for 2 different card challenges.

The first card is for CAS on Sunday where the card must be clean and simple. I kept the plain white background and just featured my reinderr in the centre.

The next card is for Jingle Belles where they want a creature.

Girlz creative craft and Scribbles Designs.

I've created a Christmas card for Girlz Creative craft ,which is a Dutch challenge site.

I foind a scrap of cream lace plus a cream and gold ribbon. They both contrast nicely with the background paper. Hope you like it!

Stay safe in this crazy COVID 19 time.

My next card is for Scribbles Design where they want a critter.

Again I made a Christmas card featuring Santa Claus in a strip from Darkroom Door.

The folied paper in the background is red, not black as it appears on here.

My critter is the horse that Santa is riding in the second picture.

Little red wagon and Case this sketch

I've made a bright birthday card this morning for Little Red Wagon.

The challenge is anything with the letter B. I think mine is obvious!

My next card is for Case this sketch.

I had this large rainbow in my kit so used it on this card.

Colour Throwdown

I've made a card this morning for Colour Throwdown

These are the colours

Using Kraft as my background I found plain and gingham cranberry papers which I layered. I added a cream strip along the plain cranberry.

In my Counterfeit kit were a set of small framed labels so I used a rectangular one on the card plus the sentiment. This card will go into my general cards box and maybe would suit a job promotion or exam results.

While I had the Kraft cardstock out I made this layout for Mystical Scrapbooking. We had a sketch plus had to use something that shimmers.

That striped paper nearly drove me crosseyed. I had fun gluing the coiled twine and adding the rhinestones and water droplets. This was at a local cafe known as the boatshed.

I'm a 60's child plus Twice blessed.

I've gone hippy with this layout! The Prima paper "The best things" inspired the whole thing. Being born in 1954 makes me a child that grew up in the 1960s. I found this photo and went with it.

The yellow and orange ribbon made a good border for my layout and the llabels and words describe my childhood. The journal card featuring the beach bag and sunglasses remind me of days at the beach.

I added the feather and flower for texture mainly.

Lastly, the saucer chair matches one I sat in recently and have done a layout about. They will go together in an album.

My next layout is for The Scraproom group on Facebook and it is this sketch

I've used my Counterfeit kit on this too.
I started with a green background and added a heart and a striped patterned paper triangle.
Next, I mounted my photos on yellow vellum and cut a matching circle from the scrap. I cut a circle from woodgrain since my photos are all about the trees.
In my kit I also had some small oval notes.
My cloud at the top is cut from a journal block.

ABC Christmas challenge and Christmas craft creations.

My 2nd card today is for ABC Christmas challenge. where it is U for up in the air or V for Vixen.

I started by making a mixed media tag using ink and mists. There are also red rhinestones.

To that I added my sentiment plus an angel peeping from a cloud. (Up in the air).

I then added my tag to my card and also used a strip of ribbon across for extra interest. It is maily red/white and blue themed.

My next card is for Christmas craft creations where they want a musical Christmas theme.

I opted for a modern twist on the old song, Noel. I used silver washi tape across the card as well.

Mojo Monday

I've made a card for Mojo Monday this morning.

It features many shades of mauves since that is my friends favourite colour. She is hospital having just had a hip replacement. I used bright pink cardstock so that should cheer her up.

and here is the original sketch from Mojo Monday.

CKC Challenge #2

Given that Halloween falls in October, for Challenge Two we will play Trick or Treat. You need to take three turns and either pick three Tricks (something a little tricky to use) or Treats (something that you love to use) or if you want to combine Tricks and Treats then you need to pick five, from the list below and incorporate onto your layout – don’t forget to tell us what you have used!!

Trick                                Treat
Hand Stitching                 Flowers
Eyelets                             Enamel Dots
Glitter                              Rainbows
Fringing                           Stencils
Mixed Media                   Stripes
Doodling                          Hearts
Rubons                            Woodgrain

I've used a diagonal striped paper that scares me and covered it with a hearts paper. There is woodgrain in the yop journal card featuring more hearts. I added flowers as my embellishments. Finally there's some doodling on this.
That equals the 5 items we are asked to include.

Challenge #1 Spring or Autumn

I'm using a sketch at sketches in thyme for this layout.

It is Spring here and the flowers are blooming, the bees are buzzing and the butterflies are flitting from bud to bud.

These photos were taken on my lavender plant where a butterfly stole the limelight. I was watching a bee bussing around and decided to take a photo. Along came a white butterfly and wouldn't let me snap the bee. It was pestering me to take its photo.

I used a Fancy pants Wonderful Day paper Outstanding as my background. It is lime green with hearts.

Next I matted my photos and used yellow and green (my 2 favourite colours as extra layering). I used brown edged tags and tiny butterfly tabs to add interest then finally used lots of spring flowers where the clouds are on the sketch.

I think this layout screams "Spring".

Here's the flowers first.

And my layout.

Paper Issues sketch

This sketch is at Paper Issues on Facebook. I had the big circles paper in my kit so used it for this challenges. My photo is a seafood platter I ate back in July. Again, the plate was ideal to cut around.

I added 3 glittery hearts as seafood is my favourite. I also added workds such as blissful, smitten, love.

It's a colourful layout but I like it!

Tuesday Morning sketches

I've made this Christmas card for Tuesday morning sketches.

I've used mainly plain colours for the toppings, but found a shiny white and pale blue scalloped die cut circle which matched the blue spots on the background.

Washi tape saying Chrisstmas became my sentiment.

Christmas card throwdown

Today's cards are for Christmas Card Throwdown where this is their sketch.

I used 2 different wood veneers, the first is Santa

and the second is a reindeer

I like both so couldn't decide which one to enter.

In my case it is a Christmas card.

Next, I made a card for International card day using this sketch
It is for The scraproom group on Facebook.

I didn't use a flower as it is a male card.

Scrap Room group challenges plus Scrap our stash

This layout is for all the Autumn challenges out there this month.

Scrap our stash has this challenge. I was inspired by the colours mainly but the suitcases in the bottom picture reminded me that these photos were taken on our holiday 2 years ago to Hamilton Island. We went up on the hill to watch the sunset ,which was glorious! It makes you appreciate how lucky you are to be alive.

Also at The Scrap Room they have a flower challenge

My layout features F=flower L=label O=oval tag W=white paint and alphas
E=evening R=ribbon.

as well as a colour challenge

My time to craft wants Autumnal colours

So here's my layout

Freaky Fast formula

The scrap room has a freaky fast formula every month. It is a good place to start with my kit.

Here's my layout

As well as the required 6 papers I added a strip of ribbon, chipboard hearts painted yellow plus some journalling frames. I also used distress ink around the cream paper and the circle.
