At Christmas cards all year round they want something starting with P or Q.
I made a card featuring Pinecones.
I started by pasting dress pattern scraps randomly on the page.Next I painted using candy apple pink and metallic Sweet pea paint. After this dried I addedsnippets of lace and some chipboard chicken wire that I also painted with sweet pea.
I then found 3 small floral elements that matched the pink in the photos.I added my title "Bold and Bright" and a few clear rhinestones. My last thing was to dribble some purple mist to add more grunge.
Heres the sketch for Soul Scrappers this month.
My background paper went well with the photo so I started there. One of the layers is an ampersand paper which is difficult to use. I've hidden it well. Next was 2 of 6x6 papers with pink butterflies. The circle is another 6x6 paper. The photo mat is another. My journaling is on a large cut apart from my kit.
After doing my title I added some bowl stacks which were in a chipboard pack I used a couple of months ago. Since scanning this layout I added a butterfly flair top left. It matches the paper,
I've made a Counterfeit kit for August. Here is the original.

I've found what I can that looks similar. Greens, yellows, florals, fruit, pompons, typewriters.
I kept summer in my mind as I searched.
Now to get cracking on some challenges.
Today's card is for the Male Room. The theme there is hobbies.
I immediately thought of racing cars so found this die cut of a vintage racing car. The background paper is a bit busy, but the appropriate colour. The actual card is turquoise.
I chose pinks mainly, but added a bit of other colour with my Kaisercraft collectibles. There was a largish dream catcher which I used under my photo then some other feathered items in the 2 smaller areas.
The photo is of Mum and my daughter who had a lovely relationship.Erica came to visit Mum in the nursing home, which she really appreciated.
I finished off some enamel dots on this layout as well.
This is the colour palette #3 for July.
The picture took me back to a picnic get together I had with 2 friends and our babies.
