Lil Red wagon

I've made a door hanger for Christmas using a Kaisercraft wooden shape.

After adhering paper to wooden shape, I sanded the edges to make it smoother.

I added a small doiley and word

The santa frame was mounted with foam tape to make it 3D. I added ribbon to complete the job.

This is for Li'l red wagon where they're preparing for Christmas.

Lasting Memories

This is the latest palette at Lasting Memories.

I'm doing a covid album, so the photos don't relate (hope I'm forgiven).

The papers do however. They feature plants and flowers.

I've modified this sketch I found on Pinterest and have used the split idea with the ric-rac braid.

Here's my layout

Cardz 4 Gals

At Cards 4 Galz  they want cute Christmas cards.

I have a 6x6 pad of papers from Heidi Swapp. So I used the reverse of each other to make these 2 cute reindeer cards.

Hope you like them, I think they're cute.

Lasting Memories week 3

The colour palette is the latest challenge at Lasting Memories.

I had a brown patterned paper which I used as my background. It was as close as I can get to the maroonish brown 2nd from left.

Next I matted my 2 photos on red and black cardstock. I added a strip of yellow vertically, then some black and white spotted ribbon. There's fine orange in the pattern on the background paper.

I added the clock and title =time for two wallaby.

As kangaroos generally eat leaves I can justify this link.

Jingle Belles Rock and colour my heart dare.

At Jingle Belles Rock they want something you can see through.

I used green vellum in a brown frame that was in my Counterfeit Kit. I then hung a Christmas decoration in the "window". My sentiment is matching the vellum.

At Colour my heart dare they have

I finished off my orange striped paper as background then used another orange paper as my centre. On there I used a Fox sticker, also from my kit.

2 card challenges.

I'm finishing off the last of my Counterfeit kit by making cards.

My first is for Through the purple haze where they have this tic tac toe

I've decided to go down the centre column. I used wood veneer leaves, plus 2 circle die cut tags and 2 yellow buttons. My daughter turns 34 on Wednesday so this is for her as a birthday card.

My next is a Christmas card for Krafty Chicks in non-traditional Christmas colours.

Paper Issues sketch

I have one full piece of scrapbooking paper (7 gypsies) which has flowers in a lattice, plus a few scraps and my Counterfeit Kit is finished!

. I thought it suited the roses photos I took in Gloucester.

After layering my papers and adding my photos and title, I made a Kraft tag adding embroidery thread.

I managed to find C'est La Vie metal embellishments featuring roses in my stash plus some chipboard flowers that also resemble roses. A final touch was bone letters to say Rose as a ghost reflection of the title.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Here is the current card at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I've made a thank you card in bright sunshine yellows. It will cheer someone I'm sure.
I fussy cut around a picture of nastursiums cut from an old picture dictionary.
I added some yellow rhinestones to the flowers.
My sentiment is a sticker I had.

Li'l red wagon wants Christmas cards in non Christmas colours.
This motivated me to use up the argyle paper on there 2 cards.

and this one for a man maybe

Troublesome paper.

What to do with this old paper from my stash by Rusty Pickle named cupid's socks.

I searched pinterest for argyle patterned layouts and found this one from http://wickedlywonderfulcreations.blogspot.com/2014/01/love-is-in-air.html

It got me started at least!

First I found a co-ordinating paper in my stash and matted in white then attached it.

Next, I used a contrast strip across the middle. As my photos are about the sea I chose blue.

I added my journal card and title plus some smaller embellishments. Here's the final layout.

I hope this helps someone, it is just an idea.

Lasting Memories 2nd challenge.

The next challenge at Lasting Memories is to be inspired by this palette and or picture. Mine is more the picture!

Many years ago (2009) My daughter and I went to Greece to visit a friend I met at Teachers College. While we were there we saw this peacock.

I had 7 gypsies bird paper in my stash, so decided to use that.It has the blues, green and the brown tones from the photo (no purple)

. I hope it is close enough to the palette for the LM team.

I dribbled mist on the bird paper to link in the blues.

Scrap the Boys and Freaky fast Friday

 I'm combining these 2 challenges.

I started by cutting the pieces of paper for the second challenge then arranged them as near as I could to the sketch.
I chose photos of the Tour de France winners wearing face masks as I have a covid album of unusual occurences this year.
Again I used my Counterfeit Kit.
First I flipped the camping paper and used the plain orange on the other side. The smaller strips were arranged as I said to resemble the sketch.
Instead of tags, I cut the circle in half and made 2 semi circle tags.
I added some "bling" I had on my scrap desk as a final touch but it is subtle.

Scrap our stash and Sketches in Thyme.

My next challenge is at Scrap our stash

I'm combining it with a sketch from Sketches in Thyme.

Here's my layout

Again, I've used items from my Counterfeit Kit here, the papers, the alphas and the die cut stickers.

I was going to put this in the holiday album but I think it will go in my COVID 19 album as it was well needed.

Challenge YOUrself.

My 3rd layout this morning is one for Challenge YOUrself

The theme is Home for the Holidays.

When Warren and I were first married we drove for 2 hours to visit both sets of parents on Christmas Day.In this photo we are with his mother and aunt. It was the first year we were married so very keen to "do the right thing".

I painted the edges of the paper to look like snow.I also used old music paper as Warren is quite musical and it was a tradition there to sing carols. The ribbon roses came pre-made and the chipboard scraoll was inked in gold. The 2 reindeers were painted red. I added sequins as well.

Shopping our stash

At Shopping our stash they have a tic tac toe.

I've chosen to go across the bottom row.

Using one of the neutral papers from my kit I made a background for my 2 die cut tags.

They are attached with gold heart brads and I then chose 2 words as inspiration Faith and Hope.

This could be a get well or cheer up card or even for Christmas.

This or That at Paper Issues.

In my kit was this pink paislee scalloped edge paper named fetching

When I'm not sure of design I often go to Pinterest, where I found thr same paper in this layout from Luzma on Scrapbooking.com.

I'm doing this for a This or that challenge at Paper Issues.

I've chosen apple (a strip from Shimelle Now go), orange, thicker title, leaves, real stitching, 3D bow and dots. (I used my thick dotariffic pen for those.)

The diamente on the bow made me think of the dog tags.notice I used the paw print paper again,it seemed apt. I added 3 words to describe Buster and Benji who are brothers and best mates.

********************************************************************************

I've also done a 2nd layout about the dogs.

Buster is a food scrounge. He begs for food, even if he has just eaten. In this particular case my friend has some marshmallow slice. He came under the table begging for food.Making all the appropriate faces and whimpers until he got some. He developed a taste for marshmallow while we were there.

I used an EK success paper and kept it simple otherwise with gold arrow, heart and plus signs.

"Stamp" challenge at The scraproom.

The scraproom group has asked us to use the letters in the word "Stamp" on our layout.

 S=sunrise, T=tearing,three tabs A=alphas M=metal brad,morning P=pink Paislee paper

I wanted a layout to document my morning walks and these were a great example of the joys and pleasures I see early in the morning.

I also made this layout for my own benefit, not for a challenge.

It documents a drive we did while on holidays at Forster.
We drove to Gloucester then via Tinonee to Taree. The back road was a bone shaker with lots of ruts and bumps. It was pretty scenery though!
On this layout I used a paper cutlery bag behind the top photo and that huge blue journalling paper.
I inked the tag inside the bag and used embroidery thread on it.

Scraproom Jumpstart sketch

The Scraproom on facebook has this jumpstart sketch

While I was on my recent holiday, I drove an extra hour north and visited my old neighbour Robyn, who now lives on a farm. She always had pets and always had a beautiful garden.

I featured both these things on my layout and used a Sparkle cat paws paper from Cloud designs which was included in my kit.The background paper is Kaisercraft Heirloom collection which is also in my kit.

The title was cut from a 3rd piece of patterned paper (unbranded).

I made the I moose you!! card (See Forgeries on the fourth tomorrow). All the other embellishments were in my kit as well
