Color me scrappy in Paris and Flutterby Wednesdays.

Here is the colour palette at Color me scrappy

As you can see there are bright colours and getting the balance right is half the fun!
I started gathering my purples.I realised I had very little in lavender hues except this sea themed paper with sea urchins etc over it. It became my mat. The navy photo mat had large writing on it with words about the sea like anchor, captain etc. Again I hid it.
The construction of the layout came together readily after that hurdle. I made my flags from scraps, ditto with the edge trimmings. Here it is.
Now while these colours were out I also made a card for Flutterby Wednesdays.
The vellum fairy poem has been in my stash for years. It is matted over the lavender sea themed paper then strips of navy, black and gold are used at the sides.
