Try stamping on Tuesday (2)

There is a second sketch at Try stamping on Tuesday

With this one ,I went all white. I started with shimmer card then cut an oval shape around a picture of a Christmas Tree (with birds). I attached a tiny stamped tag with a gold star brad. A more subtle card but suitable nonetheless.

Try stamping on Tuesday

I've made several Christmas cards now. (Probably close to 100.)
I've sold 18 so continue making them.

This time I used some of my Christmas stamps. I have a small one saying Seasons Greetings which features a robin(?) or bird. At Try stamping on Tuesday they have this sketch and encourage pattern mixing.

I've slightly altered the placement as it is a small square card but here is my entry

Christmas with the cuties and Paper players.

At Christmas with the cuties they want a cute Christmas card.
I had a silver tag featuring a little angel with a bunny.

That is mounted on vellum, then pale green paper. I used 2 strips of washi tape including one featuring the sentiment.
My friend's Mum in a nursing home will like this I'm sure. Her name is June.

**********************************************************************************

At the Paper Players they have this sketch.

I put my own spin on it and made it my own. The shape is on the right instead of the left.
It suited my tree on the gold shiny card.
I also put the sentiment at the top where there was more space.
Hopefully it is still allowed!
I enjoyed making this one.

Use your stuff plus a new DT.

One of my newer DT spots is on Use your stuff
The most recent challenge is a fall challenge and to use at least 3 leaves.
I made this layout and used 3 maple leaf wood veneers as decoration.

Why not go over there and join in the fun!

As you like it./ 2 crafty critters

My favourite range of papers is Chapter One by Kaisercraft.

I've made this card using 2 of the papers (plus trim).
I've also managed to use 3 playing cards, a sticker featuring a casino theme.

This is for As you like it.

*****************************************************
At 2 crafty critters challenge they want a critter on a card. I've used various textures behind my bright pink bird.
There's a floral paper, corrugated card, black cardstock mat then shimmer paper.
I finished it off with some pink enamel dots.

The joy of sets

At the Joy of sets they had this grid.
As I'm making Christmas cards, I decided to choose the first vertical column.
I used glimmer cardstock then washi tape that has silver writing. I fussy cut a pointsettia with leaves from an old Christmas card and re-used it.

Crafty Cardmakers and Atlantic hearts

At Crafty Cardmakers they want sparkle.
I've used the same paper as the last card and again incorporated the words jingle bells which are printed on the card.
My centre piece is a tree bauble which is gold and white. I also added several silver stars for that sparkly look.

Next card is for Atlantic Hearts
I decided to use an overlay of vellum on this card plus some lime green ribbon and pinecone die cuts I had here. I didn't add rhinestones at the top as my sentiment box is quite large.

This is also entered at Dream Valley Challenges

Crafty animals and the paper players

The paper players wants a big sentiment and crafty animals wants an animal.

I found a Christmas paper with "Tis the season to be jolly "printed on it.
I cut it so that the words were centred.
Then I found some Snoopy and Woodstock stickers which are small enough to place around the words.

Feeling Sketchy

Sketch #227

Here's the latest sketch at Feeling Sketchy

I've made a Christmas card using flowers and ribbon this time. The flowers reminded me of pointsettias.

Scrap challenge Yourself.

Next layout is for Challenge Yourself.

I had 3 small photos of my house long before I moved in here featuring someone elses furniture and cat.
I have an album for photos of improvements I have done around my house so this can go in there.
I used 2 neutral papers from my Counterfeit kit.
Then I gathered scraps in yellow and peach tones as my strips, mats and side decoration.
I actually finished up my gold alphas on this layout and had to search for mixed alphas to complete the layout's title.
I used a spare passport photo of me top right.
Hope you like it!

Sketches in Thyme

Here's the latest Sketches in Thyme challenge. I decided to use pinks on this one (mainly).
I've used 2 very similar striped papers so inked the edge of the torn paper in a darker pink.
Next I added my 2 photos then an assorted array of flowers.
I dropped red mist drops on my layout then the washer from the bottle fell on the layout. I thought it looked like a horseshoe print so added a couple more!

CKC Challenge #2

Challenge #2 at CKC is to use Kraft.

I had 2 sheets of Kraft in my kit but decided to scraplift an idea I saw on Pinterest.
This is actually a digital scrapbook page, but I thought it could be duplicated.

I decided to do without the black scribbles.
I haven't added planes or bags or a brad but left it simple.

Using enamel dots as a final touch, and some small gold V shapes I pointed to the street in my layout. One of my patterned papers is actually Kraft as well.

Alphabet challenge blog.

The alphabet challenge blog has O for one word.

I've gone quite modern and random with this one.
I used a hashtag and I'm using up left over alphas so didn't have a gold "O". Instead I used brackets then found a tiny black O, so made a feature of it. Note also the circles on the paper behind hint at the O as well.

Freshly Made sketches and li'l red wagon

Here is the latest sketch at Freshly made sketches.

I'm using some more modern Christmas paper featuring dogs (yes, dogs).
I adhered some stars I had in my stash around the sentiment.

At Li'l red wagon they want us to use a bear on our card.
I searched high and low and finally found a teddy bear in a Christmas stocking that I could fussy cut and re-use. I kept my background and sentiment simple.

Lasting Memories "CRISP"

The next challenge at Lasting Memories is to use the letters of the word CRISP to create a layout.

I've used the following

C=curves, corner brad,
R=ribbon, recycled cardboard (on pink tag)
I= ink (walnut for dipping and black ink for bird stamps.
S=Sassafrass Lass border sticker, string (twine)
P=polka dots, parrots, pink, purple brads

With close ups of the tags
(walnut ink and stamped ink birds)

(Recycled strips and flutterby designs cardboard recycled)

Merry Little Christmas and The scrap room.

I'm combining a couple of challenges with this card.
Merry Little Christmas challenge wants anything goes.
Winter Wonderland wants bright

I used a paper from my Counterfeit kit which is green and orange. To that I used some alphas I had left from a set I used last month.
I added gold ribbon to make it Christmassy plus 3 more Peanuts stickers of snoopy and Woodstock preparing for Christmas. Kids will like this one .

************************************************************

Yesterday I made this layout for another challenge on The scrap room.

I went bright with this one and managed to use 3 orange papers from my kit, plus some green and scraps of purple.
The dinosaur was in Canberra.

If you look hard you can see the same green paper that I used in the card above.
This was a fun layout to do and I'm pleased to also use the bookplate and some purple washi.

Jingle Belles & ABC Christmas challenges

I'm combining 2 challenges here.
Jingle Belles has a pink Christmas theme

I used pink Christmas themed paper, pink washi tape and some cute "Peanuts" themed stickers.
My sentiment is a modern one.

ABC Christmas challenges  has V for velocity.
Two of the stickers feature ice skating and skiing. This should qualify for that.

Christmas crafts all year around / Daring Cardmakers

Themes at Christmas Crafts all year around include Christmas Angel, Winter angel or nativity.

I've chosen Nativity.
I fussy cut around a scene from an old Christmas card then added my sentiment and some washi tape.

Meanwhile Daring Cardmakers has a Use your scraps challenge.
I've accumulated quite a few smaller pieces of paper while making cards plus various embellishments. I combined some of them on this Christmas card and managed to find a heart die cut to match the quote on the sentiment.

Li'l red wagon.

The challenge at Li'l red wagon is to cut it out. We can either fussy cut or use diecuts.
My arthritic hands are aching today, so I used 3 die cuts on this Christmas card.
They are all from the same Kaisercraft range.

Along the bottom I used gold washi tape which looks black and white on here.

Christmas card throwdown and Case this sketch.

I'm back to the Christmas cards. This is the sketch at Christmas Card Throwdown.

I recycled a wreath from an old Christmas card as part of my circle.
I've also used ribbon, enamel dots and my sentiment is from a Kaisercraft collections set.
The background paper is Basic Grey.

My next card is for Case this sketch

I'm hoping my card is CAS enough.
Using the same background paper I used 5 cake toppers in the shape of Christmas trees as my strips across the middle.  The colours matched.
I've then strung a banner saying XMAS under the cake toppers.

The scraproom Freaky Fast formula

I'm using some of the yellow papers from my Counterfeit Kit for this.
My banner is the 2" x 12" piece as it measures approximately that.
I kept it simple as my alphas are enormous, so just used enamel dots,2 small circle tags plus some twine across the top area.

Lasting Memories Paper Tearing

The latest challenge at Lasting Memories is paper tearing.
I've had this photo of an art nouveau doorway for a while and this month's Counterfeit Kit suited the colours.
The torn papers at the left hand side are mainly scraps of 6x6 papers,(hence the flowers to hide the joins) plus the pink strip far left is the reverse side of an orange paper I've been using on other layouts.
The flowers(I don't have many) just matched perfectly.

Again, I used a Z turned sideways for my title.

ABC Christmas challenge

The challenge at ABC Christmas challenge is U for upcycle or V for velocity.

As I make Christmas cards for Charity, I upcycle whenever I can.

On this card I have used the sentiment from a former Christmas card, a tag I received on a gift last year and some silver mesh ribbon that was an offcut in my stash.

CSI #297. and Artastic

Here's the latest challenge at CSI

Evidence
I used striped paper.
There is a fox or maybe wolf on the bottom right.
There are also fox heads on the washi tape under the photo.(Woodland animals)
The children are sitting on the steps (Architectural element)
There is a banner across the top.
The bottom paper has flowers and twigs.

 Testimony
The tag I used for journaling is circular edged.

The colours are all there.

I'm also entering this at Artastic where the criteria is frames. I used 3 Kaisercraft frames with the centres still intact as a feature on my layout. One behind the photo and two in the bottom right corner.
