End of month at Counterfeit Kits

I've taken a photo of this one tonight so you get carpet with your picture ,LOL.
Mystical scrapbooks

Had a monthly challenge where you had to fold paper to make a lace doiley,(like we used to do at school). The next step was to mist through it to make your background.
I've used left over strips of paper with tiny fish on it as well as textured scraps like crackled, spots from the cuttlebug, scalloped edges and zigzags. The large journaling block is from fancypants designs and even though it is a duck,I thought it was close enough.
I kept with the colours blue, bone and a touch of yellow to signify the beach.
The final touch was Bumble bee  crafts mini collections visuals around which I have wound twine.
I actually recycled the title from another layout and inked the backing with turquoise ink.

Wow! What a cool technique! I'm pretty sure I kept some of my kids first attempts at those paper snowflakes/valentines. Perhaps I should use them for misting. GREAT idea!!!

what a great idea with the misting in the background - I've misted through a bought doily but how much more creative this is
