Over at A Gem of a challenge the theme is Weather (choose any season).
My card is a get well card for all those winter ills that strike people with this cold snap.
I've focussed on rain.
The wood veneer umbrella is from Jennifer Grace "Happy Scatters".
I made the white clouds myself from felt and left the black outline as it shows them better.

Stuck?! sketches and Blog hop-Challenge #1 at CKC.
While at a retreat last weekend I used the current Stuck sketch and made this layout.
I've used only one photo instead of 2, as it is the only photo I have from this day.
I've used lots of dotty scraps that I have, plus a paper from Simple Stories and another from Kaisercraft.
This layout features a large chipboard capital K. I've had it for about 10 years at least.
Our CKC #1 is to use K or Q as a feature.
Warren and I visited the Snowy Mountains in summer and took this photo of "Mt Kozzie" (As we call it here in Australia). It is Australia's highest mountain! That's it between our heads, blink and you'll miss it.
After being in Canada, it is a small fry compared to other mountains.
Thanks for stopping by and now you should hop over to Elaine
The full blog hop list will be published on the link-to-the-CKCB so if you get lost along the way, head over there to find your way back onto the hop.
Don't forget to leave me a comment to let me know you were here and happy hopping!"

Allsorts challenge & the craft barn challenge
At Allsorts challenge the theme is Vintage.
I went with vintage sewing.
The background paper is Kaisercraft Base Coat and the cut out lady is from Graphic 45.
I added a tape measure strip from another Kaisercraft paper down the side and my sentiment is from October afternoon.
Really like how this card turned out!

In the Pink and Shopping our stash challenges
The current challenge at In the Pink is "Happy Anything".
I've made my card just say Happy Day, then it can be used for a birthday or any other celebration.
There's a touch of red but it is mainly pink.

At Shopping our Stash this week they want ocean, beach, nautical themes.
I've made a Bon Voyage card using those cut off strips from Scrapbooking paper.
My hairdresser is about to go on a long cruise, so I thought I'd send her a card.

Scrap Much? Sketchy Friday
I followed Tina to Scrap Much? and found this sketch

It is just calling out for those strips that are cut off scrapbooking papers.
I have a long basket full.
I have found orange and purple to match the colours in the photos, but alas no red.
I misted the background with some red instead.
I decided to go with colours from the 1970s.
The blackboard sticker, spotted ribbon and 18th draw your eye to the background.
