Stamps plus fun=creativity and Let's craft & create

I've discovered another card site. http://stampsfun-creativity.blogspot.com.au/  and the above sketch is their current challenge.

Using my Counterfeit Kit and some shimmer cardstock in aqua I've made this card.

The butterfly is mounted to stand up higher.
Hope you like it!

At Let's craft & create the challenge is layers.
There are 6 layers counting the shiny numbers.

Hiding in my craft room with POP.

Here's a comical card I've made using black, white and green.
It started with the moustache and grew from there.
I find male cards sell extremely well so this will go in the card box.
I'm entering it in http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/

ABC challenge

At http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com.au/ it is Y for your choice.

A friend has just had a baby girl.
I made this card using a BG package, two strips of patterned paper, and some new pale pink buttons glued across. I think it looks ok.

Natalie and Amy & Just us girls

http://natalieandamy.blogspot.co.uk/ has a Thank you challenge at the moment.
I had this pretty mauve paper featuring butterflies and just added bling.

It is also being entered in

I also made another one which says "tomorrow".

I'm sure this will come in handy.

Scrap it with a song

Over at Scrap it with a song I noticed the ROCK song is one of my daughter's favourites.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMaycNcPsHI

When she was at Univeristy ,Placebo was her favourite band.
This 50-something mother could sing every word! I heard it so many times.
My layout celebrates the similarities and differences between us.
We look alike and have the same sense of humour and fun.(Evident in this photo)
She is more edgy/off the wall whereas I'm more conservative.

Using the colours of our clothes, I decided on this layout.
I've also made a point of using strips cut from My Minds Eye papers plus others, and some self cover alphas.
My journaling card was a Jennifer Grace Happy scatters, which I inked and adhered to the background.

Sketch 'n'scrap 100th layout challenge.

When I saw this sketch at Sketch 'n'scrap I really liked it and dived straight in to making a layout.
I used mainly black & white, because I wanted my photos to stand out.
I'm pleased to have used the chalkboard "and" sticker.
The wood veneer "GO" seemed appropriate too.
Who would have thought I'd run out of the letter K?

The photos were taken on Norfolk Island in May last year. All poultry roams free as do cows.
It is a fascinating place.

Using the January Kit

I've started on my January Counterfeit kit promptly, and made this fun layout.

On our European trip in 2009 we visited Piccadilly Circus.
It was one of those "we are actually here" moments.
Erica loved it and we took photos of each other on the steps of the statue.
I began by stitching around the edges of the paper thereby creating a frame.
I chose a shimmer cardstock and cut notches for the twine.
The wooden Imaginisce bus car and suitcase were perfect for this layout.
There is a fabric brad from Kaisercraft plus a circular quote "A moment lasts all of a second but a memory lives on forever"
My title helped me use up some shiny red alphas, except I had to improvise the P.
