They want 4 legged friends at Simon says stamp
I've used a reindeer stamp on the background of this card near the bottom, then added reindeer stickers across the top as well. Another Christmas card completed.
They want 4 legged friends at Simon says stamp
I've used a reindeer stamp on the background of this card near the bottom, then added reindeer stickers across the top as well. Another Christmas card completed.
Shopping our stash would like balloons, either party or hot air balloons.
I've opted for the hot air kind.
I used a transparency I have had here for ages and otherwise kept my card fairly plain. This will be good for a male card.
I'm also entering it at Cutie pie challenges where it is something starting with B.
At Farmquest grocery challenge They want aisles 1,3 or 5.
Aisle #1 is produce and I have used a photo of fresh cherries on this layout. WE saw these beautiful foods on our Trip to Vancouver market.
***************************
At Farmquest challenge there is a forest woodland theme.
I've tried something different on here.
I used heassian as my background. First using a stencil I painted the tree on the hessian. I used liquid pearls to add snow on the branches. When this was dry, I glued on my reindeer and star. Both also painted.
This will be a Christmas card.
Creative fingers is a new challenge blog for me. It is anything goes, so I made another male card because Fathers' Day is coming up here in Australia.
I kept it simple by using 2 random playing cards and a pre-prepared sentiment.
At Farmquest they wanted things found in a desert.
At the Outlaws challenge they want us to upcycle or recycle.
In my case I've done a bit of both.
Someone gave me some racing car stickers they had from a deceased estate clearance. I found 2 scraps of grey/black papers that aren't very pretty so used those as my base. On the first I added a yellow "ladder" shape which someone at a crop had used to punch out squares then threw away the ladder.
I added the ladder down the side then scattered the racing cars on my card. Added a sentiment and it is done.
On the second one I covered the words on the background with strips of blue paper. Then added the two biggest racing cars and the sentiment.
All made from scraps that would have been thrown out otherwise.
At Cardz 4 guyz they want metallic.
I've chosen a silver backed card with kraft mat, plus 2 large metal brads for eyes a small black brad for a nose and a paper moustache.
Here's the Blast off criteria for July.
I decided to scrap some Christmas photos from a couple of years ago.
They are the food and presents from that day. I thought "No limits" was appropriate since we all over- indulge. I cut 3 of the photos down to a smaller size. Everything required is there except enamel dots. I used 2 small Christmas theme brads instead.
I used the following:- sassafrass lass border strips, primary colours, red papers, inked wood veneer feathers, notes on side of photos, glittered butterfly.
For this one at Lasting Memories, I'm doing an 8x8 album so here's my layout.
At Li'l red wagon they wanted us to use stuff from our scrap bin.
In my scrap bin I had this cut out of a lady dancing. (Ginger Rogers maybe). By herself she looks weird which is why I hadn't used her. I decided to make her an angel. My background is gold metallic card, also a scrap. I made wings from small pieces of tiny spotted paper and found my sentiment in the scrap bin too.
First Christmas card done!
1) please use a black and white vintage photo
2) please use a flourish - can be in any style ( chipboard, wood veneer, acrylic, or rhinestone/pearls)I stuck to black white and beige/kraft on this card. I used music paper for my background then a black doiley, beige patterned paper, sequins, washi tape and striped ribbons in black and white then my sentiment.
Because of the sequins it looks quite festive.
I'm entering it at Colour me heart challenge.
I've made another 2 cards for different challenges.
This one is for Cardz 4 galz where they want blues. I stamped Super Mum on a sky blue card then cut out the circle. The turquoise striped paper is my background then the blue rhinestone flowers add another colour.
My other card is for Make my monday where they want ice creams or cocktails.
This card has 2 cocktail glasses (fussy cut) plus strips of ribbon diagonally.
At Seize the birthday they asked for Fruit.
I found this compote of fruit and decided to go vintage.
I've used aqua with some antique lace from my grandmother. I inked with pinecone colour along the scalloped edge to add more "age" to my card.
It's my sister's birthday on 20th so I thought I'd give this to her.
At Li'l red wagon this week they asked us to use something we love.
One of my 2 favourite colours is yellow. I made this card with that in mind.
I've used lace on the border plus 2 yellow flowers and yellow enamel dots. It needed something else so I added faux stitching around the number and diagonally across the card.
***********************************************************************************
At Double D challenge they want a nautical card.
I had both ice cream paper plus die cuts of ice creams so I made this card.
I'm entering it at Make my Monday.
*************************************************************************At Inspiration station they have this photo.
It seems perfect for a summer holiday card.
At Challenge YOUrself they want stitching on your layout.
I've made a double layout this time featuring a horse ride we did in Norfolk Island.
We sat in the wagon while the horses pulled us up and down hills to a picnic spot. It was a fun day.
My sewing is the 2 big circles on each of the layouts. That's me in middle of left layout.
At My time to craft they want flowers for summertime.
I've used a final strip of paper from my Counterfeit kit plus ribbon and a pink rose on this card.
One of my "crafty" friends turns 70 very soon so this is for her.
Here's the kit that has been chosen this month at CKC. https://www.tracireed.com/journal/moonlit
It has lots of darker yet brighter papers.
I looked through my stash and came up with this for my mini kit.
I've opted for the purples and hot pink papers but there are yellow flowers on that bottom paper and a blue check top left. My embellishments are what I could find that matches those colours.
Starting with the purple tones I made this layout about my daughter's steep driveway.
My next layout used a grungy brown brick paper that had a place for one photo so that the flourishes went around it. I found a photo from Sedona with a brick wall so used that.
From my mini kit, I have also used a mini envelope with butterfly attached as my journal card holder.
My third layout started with the busy floral squared paper. I painted over a large stencil that says "Turn your dreams into reality" I cut that across and used it across the bottom of a pink paper. I added my 2 photos of the Grand Canyon plus some inked chevrons. I used a piece of pink grossgrain ribbon as well.
I've entered this one in the scraproom RING challenge
Ribbon, Ink, Numbers, Gems.
Finally, my last layout was inspired by 4th July, so I chose red, white and blue.
Had no blue twine, so I used embroidery cotton and craft glue around my title @ G.C. (At Grand Canyon)
I used faux stitching instead of real
I cut the American flag from packaging so used that as a small journal card and my flair button says Oh my stars which is appropriate.
I used a sketch from Mystical Scrapbooks, so I'm entering it there as well.
