This combination inspired me, especially as I have just bought a new sunray mask from Studio Calico.
I misted using
Tattered angels glimmer mist in turquoise on a blue paper.
This gave a subdued yet defined sunray.
I found an 8x8 patterned sunray paper which I've used as my mat.
I've placed white netting, blue foil punched out plus a grey and black patterned paper strips.
Over that , I have added an assortment od embellishments:-
A blue paper clip shaped like an S
2 brads featuring blue stars.
A chipboard arrow.
A flair button featuring a male and female symbol.
Earlier this month, I experimented making my own enamel dots by melting beads in the oven.
It worked!!! I've used some blue enamel dots on this layout plus a lasso of twine (also blue) around the flair and the dots.
The title is made by mounting patterned paper on
American Crafts DIY thickers.
They are adhesive on both sides, so I lay the patterned paper down, then reversed the letters and cut them our with a craft knife.
The finished effect harks back to the mat behind the photos.
Here is the finished layout
If someone asked me to define my scrapping style I would say this is pretty close.
No flowers, lots of other embellishments, a bit of misting plus some interesting papers and matting.
While I like clusters I think they are sometimes over the top so prefer to spread my items around the photo to highlight each element.
