Artastic using watercolour

The challenge at Artastic this month is using watercolours.
My clever daughter painted this painting of an octopus. The fine details are done in black pen and ink but the majority is watercolour.
I decided to use my photo of it as my inspiration, creating an all blue layout.
The trimmings came together well for me.
There were bella bling curls that look like tentacles.
The net and gone fishing sign were in my stash and at Camp Mojo I was given these photo corners that also looked like tentacles.
I used "silky crayons " to freehand draw the tentacles then using water smoothed the crayon to create the watercolour effect.

That is certainly an amazing drawing your daughter has done and you have set if off nicely on your page Julene. Those tentacles have an ocean wave look about them which fits well with the theme. Thank you so much for playing along with us on ARTastic.

Wow, Julene, you have a very talented daughter. Taking a photo of her work and using it as the subject of your layout is a great way to record her work. Love the watery tentacles. Thanks for joining us at ARTastic this month.
