Stitches in Thyme #96

Here is the "stitches in Thyme" sketch for December.
I have chosen to focus on my daughter's sewing room. There will be other photos following. This rack is the headquarters for her fabrics and patterns.
As my background paper, I've used American Crafts' Abode paper. It is quite busy but suitable as it features shelves.
I used gesso across the width of the paper then when it was dry misted with red through a mask of chevron pattern. The strip going vertically matches the background paper well.
I've then found strip stickers with words related to sewing as my journalling and the quote as my title.
Finally,I personalised it with the date and her name.Placed on after I scanned it.
