Challenge #3 at CKC and Case this sketch.

I was inspired by Case this sketch to create a card and use the oldest thing in this month's Counterfeit Kit.
There is a band of crinkly cream paper across this card which I bought at a craft fair around 15 years ago.
I popped it in my kit with some other neutrals for layering on layouts. It matched the music paper so well that I'm using it here. The enamel dots are the same shade of pink as the sentiment.

Gold from Spandau Ballet is one of my favourite songs.
I've made a male card for a musical friend with the sentiment "You're gold"

I'm entering this at Cardz4guyz

Next ,we have Allsorts challenge blog where the theme is flowers, "How does your garden grow?"
I've used a tan/beige background with a rust/maroon flower then 2 co-ordinating tags and a heart on top. A very sophisticated colour palette.

Shopping our stash

Also in my June Counterfeit kit are some dressmaking themed items from October Afternoon.
I saw a challenge on Shopping our stash to make a selfie themed card or item.

In between everything ,else I'm trying to compile a Travel Journal.
Using the button card I made a " Selfie",by cutting out the centre and placing one of my spare passport photos inside the frame.
The whole thing was then added to a tag.
I will add ribbon to the top once I work out what the background will be.

Li'l Red Wagon

Li'l red wagon has an "off we go" challenge this week.

Here's my card...

I've used items from my June Counterfeit Kit.

I should be making a card for myself as I'm going to Europe on Wednesday.
I will be travelling for a month.
The countries I'm visiting are Holland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Greece and Singapore on the way there and back. Think of me cruising down the Rhine :)

It should renew my scrapbooking mojo on my return.

Samba layout just for fun.

I found this dramatic black and white photo of a samba dancer and it was calling out for a layout.
I started by stitching a frame all the way around the paper.
Next I smeared some pink paint across the centre.
The paper itself suggests movement so suited this.
I've used a quote I found on Pinterest plus some washi tape and 3 buttons.
My title is purposely up and down just like samba steps.
No challenge entry for this one.
