Hearts quest challenge blog.

 I've made this layout for Hearts Quest challenge blog. They want travel, but with a heart.

In this layout I was in Austria and everywhere were pictures of Mozart. There was even Mozart chocolate.

The cardboard picture next to me was advertising the Mozart chocolate and provided a good photo opportunity. I used strips of paper that co-ordinated with the colours in the photo. 

I added 3 small gold hearts on the right-hand side plus some gold thread.

Soul scrappers sketch plus Challenge Yourself.

 

Here is the June sketch at Soul Scrappers ,which I'm using to also do a challenge at Challenge yourself.

Everything on here is from my Counterfeit kit.

I used cheap alphas which unfortunately can't come off and be repositioned. Hence my title is crooked.

Otherwise, I'm happy with this layout and have used the orange chevron paper which is glittery. "Ruby Rock-it - Dancette"

Jumpstart sketch

 

Again at the scraproom here is the Jumpstart sketch. 

I decided to use the orange papers in my kit. I added yellow and black as my other colours which makes this autumn tones. I've also used 2 of my counterfeit kit forgery papers here. 

Challenge #1 CKC

 Our challenge is to use 5 layers of something on your layout.

I used a throwback sketch at The scraproom group.

Using my counterfeit kit, I came up with this.

As well as the white photo mat on the bottom two photos, there are 5 layers. 

Coronation Album 8x8

 I've used some of the papers from my kit to start scrapbooking the Coronation of Charles 3.

Today I made 2 more.

I used a sweets bag on this one above,so can add a tag with more details if wanted.

A tassel on this one.

Farmquest challenge

 

In 2014 we went to Canada for a trip. We stayed at a farm out of Jasper where the wildlife wandered around free. On our walk to the dining room for dinner we spotted this doe. 

I scrapped it using a tawny brown coloured paper with strips across a yellow circle. After adding a flower and my journal tag it is complete. 

I'm entering this at Farmquest challenge.

June Counterfeit kit

You will notice there's a few missing from the kit and I also had 4 forgeries. Can you spot them?

For the embellishments there are several pages, so I wrote a list..........

I included arrows and chevron washi tape, all the flairs I own, and will add flowers as necessary.

There are frames in various sizes plus chipboard buttons. I added some black stickers and will add words with white pen if I can.

I lso have chevron lolly bags in green and red. There're 4 colourful coasters from the hotel I stayed in at Brisbane. 

Ribbons and laces might be added if required. 

My daughter gave me an 8x8 album recently so I will be using that this month to scrap photos of the Coronation.

As for my style - it’s whimsical,colorful and wordy … I am a huge fan of the story . I truly believe that though we all love the ephemera and the pretty- without the story - the who, the what,and the why, we loose the grit! Because I’m 25+ years when someone grabs the album if they don’t know who is in the photo, where it was why it was taken what will they see? Pretty flowers and strangers. So my style in a nutshell is making sure my stories don’t leave strangers on pretty pages ! I can’t wait to play this month with all of you
