From screen 2 scrap with Nanna

Santa came to the Nursing home where Nanna was still excited at the age of 93!
I made a flower from pattern tissue with some bling for the centrepiece. Also used quilted paper and a cluster of sunflowers cut from another scrap of pp.Letttering is Kaisercraft.

Tuppy in Anna's craft cupboard!

I've made this layout using gorgeous Prima flowers and butterfly for Anna's craft cupboard. The soft colours in the background paper blended beautifully with the embellishments and the flowers.

Kraft it up

Kraft it up this month calls for a colour palette of red ,turquoise, yellow and lime green.I used a Christmas striped paper as my background, then cut large scallops from another pp to go under the photo.I stretched striped ribbon above that, using yellow as my mat and turquoise c/s as another layer. At this point I splotched pale lime green paint across the layout.Next I made a pleated flower, attaching it with a button. The embellies are Pink Paislee Soiree.Being birthday themed they suited this layout.

Stuck?! on the Seine Bridges

The sketch this week at Stuck?! features 3 photos. Luckily there are several bridges along the Seine so I chose 3 interesting ones and made this layout. I've used My Minds Eye "Quite Contrary" again. I've added a matching pink/maroon cloud plus 2 rub ons of the Eiffel Tower and French words saying "life I love you!".There are also buttons plus a stamp of an aeroplane.Hope you like it!

This gorgeous Nepalese Dancer performed at our local nursing home recently. The colours of her outfit blend beautifully with this week's colour room. I used Basic Grey"Recesss-Erroneous" paper, then added 2 scrapmatts circles which I painted sky
blue.I hand stitched some crosses with embroidery thread.Another 2 circles were painted with Lil'Davis metallic paint in Rose.I've added a spray of co-ordinating flowers and used Pink Paislee Lettering.A final touch was more metallic rose paint in small patches then some gold rhinestones.

Wonder at Bird is the Word

Here's a layout using one of my favourite colour combos black/white/lime.It features Scenic Route lettering plus Hero Arts flowers and Francheville brads.(The best thing is I've used up scraps from my expanding stash)I don't need journalling as my title says it all. Sometimes I wonder why I scrap...because I love it!

Two wins for December

My white lace tree card won on Lollipop ladies and my Cherish layout won on Soul Scrappers.Whilst I'm not in it for the rewards it is nice to be recognised occasionally.
I also received a Grinners mention on Aussie Scrapjacked.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!
My New Years Resolution is to use up some of this accumulated clutter in my scrap room.Perhaps even fight my frugal instincts and throw some away.We will see eh?
