Crazy 4 challenges

Here's the sketch at Crazy 4 challenges.
I'm making Christmas cards so recycled an old Christmas card that had tiny trees.
I cut the 4 squares ensuring there are whole trees on each square.

I've found a new Christmas challenge site.
Scraps of Life-Rudolph Days challenge where the September challenge is anything goes.

Male Room and Cute card Thursday.

Here's old Santa with his toys and pipe.
I've used washi tape across the middle plus 2 gold stars, a brad and a loop for a tag. (totalling 5 embellishments!)
This is for The Male Room challenge

********************************************************************************

At cute card Thursday they have asked for die cuts and punches.
I'm still on Christmas Cards. This time I used 3 die cuts from Kaisercraft's Frosted range.
I couldn't resist putting gold stars on those trees!
I also used a border punch on the blue strip across the top.

Li'l red wagon.

I started with Kraft coloured card. I misted it using sugar maple then I printed on it with yellow paint and a lid to make the circles.
I trimmed it with washi tape and some gold braid. I then scattered the punched apples across the top and tied it with a gold organza bow.

I'm entering this at Li'l red wagon where the theme is fruit.

I have no idea why the text is highlighted in white. This is freshly typed.

Crafty calendar and Aud sentiments

Aud sentiments wants a sentiment. and Crafty Calendar challenge  wants lots of layers.

I've combined these two on this card.
The cat picture is paper tole. There are 5 layers including the washi tape. I'm including some packaging card that came with enamel dots.
The 2 buttons match the washi tape stars and the balls of wool.

**********************************

At Use your stuff we are combining with doubletroublechallenge.

The criteria at Double trouble is plaid so I have made this bright and happy Santa card.
I used magic mount behind his pompon hat to make it 3D.
It is simple but I'm sure a child out there will love it.

Here's my layout for Use your stuff using frames and tags

We hope you will join in the fun.

Scrap room Freaky Fast Formula.

I chose older papers for this layout in brown tones. I then used cut off strips with colours from the photos to cross over the papers. I added a journaling box and tag and brad to complete the layout.

Elliebelles corner and Scrapping 4 fun

At Ellibelles corner they want something starting with B.
I've had this die cut for a while and decided to use it as it features Birthday. (B word).
I kept the background neutral. A few tiny rhinestones were added on some of the flowers.

******************************************************
At Scrapping4fun challenges (another DT I used to be on) , they have an anything goes challenge.

I've decided to scraplift this idea I saw on Pinterest.
I've turned mine 90 degrees.
I managed to use 3 curly paper clips and some mini words I own.

And close up of me holding the umbrella.

Tales from the craft room plus 2 Crafty Critter crazies

At Tales from the craft room they want cards for kids.

2craftycrittercrazies.  and Through the purple haze want animals.

I had 2 animal stickers from last month's kit that I hadn't used so decided to create a 7th birthday card using them.
The striped tag is from MME packaging I cut up.
The background paper, stripe and sentiment are a new Kaisercraft brand of papers I was given, named Morning Dew.

Cardz4guyz and let's create

At Cardz4guyz they are asking to be inspired by a Beatles song.
I've chosen Ticket to Ride.

I had made the tag already using scraps plus a wood veneer pair of glasses and some enamel dots.
I used a coloured brad to adhere it to the card.
Then I remembered I had some tickets, kept from a trip to a theme park years ago.
I used them as a strip across the card.

My great nephew's birthday is coming up and he's musical. I wonder if he will make the connection to the Beatles.
*********************************************************************************

At Let's create challenges they asked for layers.

I had a Prima packaging here that actually featured words down the side, so I turned that into a tag and added it to the card. I've also used a blue brad, some ribbon, a typewriter sticker and a scrap of patterned paper from a layout I made the other day.

Hope you like it!

Jingle Belles and Unstampabelles.

At Jingle Belles this week they want peace on cards.

I started by fussy cutting a dove from an old Christmas card (recycling). I chose a fairly plain patterned paper and sentiment to go with the card.
At the last minute, I decided it needed some bling so put 2 gold stars around the sentiment.

My second card is for unstampabelles, where they want an aperture.
I made a tag and cut a circle in the centre.
I mounted it on a Christmas paper background then added a blue star plus some red bling and my sentiment.

Sketch and scrap plus 123

At Sketch n scrap they have this sketch

Here's my layout.

I used neutrals for most of this layout and added a pop of colour with my alphas.
The 3 brads plus tags also added a small nod to the colours in the photo.
We stop at Heatherbrae pies on our way to Canberra, usually for morning tea. They make the tastiest cakes and pies. (not tiger pies though!)

and at 123 challenges there is this colour combo and sketch.

The floral is a Pink Paislee paper and I used my dottariffic pen to do the circles.
The 3 brads are from MME now and then series.
I fussy cut my title.

I've had a hiatus from scrapping and it is time to get back into it again.

Artastic challenge blog

At Artastic challenge they want us to use a sense of humour in some way.

Back in 2009 my daughter and I toured around Europe. Long before phones with cameras I captured most of our holiday on my camera.. We would stop somewhere and it became common for me to say "hang on to this for me" while I got the magic shot.

In Venice we were in St Mark's square and she automatically put out her arms and leg for me to give her the bags etc. Hence this layout.

I've used mainly black and white again with a touch of silver.

Here's my mini kit

Here are my 2 layouts

Rochelle Speares and Scrap with Stacey

Time to do some actual scrapbooking.
I'm combining the 2 challenges at Rochelle Speares challenge and Scrap with Stacey.

The mood board made me think of coffee and in turn our holiday in New Zealand.
We visited a cafe named BUNSEN which is located outside the chemistry building

https://www.artscentre.org.nz/what-is-here/bunsen/

The fun part was they served everything in chemistry lab equipment. I forgot to take photos of the teapot and cup but here's the milk container and butter jar.

Here's my layout.

Jingle Belles

At Jingle Belles they want a Christmas card featuring numbers.
I've used a small page from a calendar as my number component.

The whole card has a vintage look and I have used pinecone ink to age the sentiment and calendar page.

The male room

At the Male room the theme is flight.
I've made a quick card using both sides of patterned paper plus some stickers that suited the challenge.

**********************************************************************************

At http://casethissketch.blogspot.com/

I used a red star pattern as my background, then used a large white and a smaller blue star where the circles are located on the sketch. The cross paper has Merry Christmas written on it so I didn't use a sentiment.

Kraft plus challenge

This is the challenge at Kraft plus.
I started with a kraft cardstock from Bella with fine white checks.
Next, I dribbled red misting and stamped with a geometric patterned stamp I had.
I used 2 paper doilies from D-Lish scraps and some red and kraft patterned paper as my matting.
Then 2 strips of black and white washi tape and 4 tickets which are red and kraft coloured.
My alphas are black and white and also 2 sparkly letters in red. There are 3 stick on chipboard "blackboard" words.
My other embellishments are 2 red buttons, a flourish and a flower sticker.

****************************************************

Also at http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.com/they want winter foods.
It just happened that I had some gingerbread men stickers on my craft desk, so I made this card.
I added some ginger coloured bling on the RHS. You can never have too much bling at Christmas, right?

Lasting Memories

LM #462 - Recipe Challenge - use the recipe below to complete your layout:

1 banner, 2 photos, 3 or more chipboard elements, and glittery letters or embellishments.

In case you are wondering, I'm not using a Counterfeit kit this month which gives me a chance to use MY CHOICE of papers etc.
I've used a sticker banner from Sassafrass Lass .
My 2 photos are of the temporary cathedral in Christchurch New Zealand.
The 3 chipboard items are the penny farthing bicycle, the pink frame around the journaling and the small blue circle thing found in my scrap tray. (I think it was a blueberry), Maybe a bird's face.

My glittery alphas are almost complete so I shortened my title. NZ '19.

li'l red wagon

At li'l red wagon they want food on a card.
I'm doing Christmas cards so have used a gingerbread man saying "Let's bake cookies".
Nice and bright, kids will like it!

My second card is for crafty hazelnuts christmas challenge. where they want a Christmas card featuring the letter S.

In my case it is a shepherd and a sheep too!
I'm pleased to have used some left over alphas from last month's kit too.
