The following layout was based on a sassy scrappers sketch here
and Counterfeit Kit had a tutorial about hexagons.
I hate making hexagons as I don't have a template etc,so I've used a chicken wire mask with gesso. It is a good choice with these Echo Park papers as they're quite busy in patterns. It is also a male layout,so I didn't want anything too flowery or feminine.
I've added some of the stickers that came in the pack as my embellishments/title and finally some chevron washi tape.
Nathan is a family man and would do anything for his 3 kids.

what a great idea to use chickenwire for your hexagons! Wonderful LO!
great use of a patterned background, I'm still learning how to use them myself. Lovely page.

Love the gesso with the chicken wire. I added a hexagon mask to my kit and I just might use your idea :-) A very lovely male page.
Great to have you with us at Sassy Scrappers, Julene! Love that chicken wire!
Love the stripe background!
The chicken wire mask has worked brilliantly! x
Bravo!!! What a fantastic idea. I've never worked with gesso before...I'll have to try it out. A friend of mine has 2 creative memories hexagon punches. She knows how much I love them, but don't want to shell out the money to buy them on ebay (they are discontinued so they are pricey) so she said we could have "joint custody" of them! You created a perfect solution!
Wow! Super impressive! I've never seen hexagons done like that before! Thanks for inspiring us with a new look!
