April counterfeit kit

The Counterfeit kit this month is Garden Party Scrapbook Kit | Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine (scrapbookandcards.com)

Presenting my kit

GARDEN DREAMS

Here's my papers

As you can see, I tried to match both colour and patterns. I didn't have much aqua or plaids, so substited the nearest thing.

And my embellishments

I'm still trying to plough through embroidery cottons, ribbons and buttons, plus added some tiny chipboard floral items my sister gave me.
I added washi tape ,twine and bling and some smaller cut aparts I had.

Alphas will be added as needed, I'll start with those words as I recently returned from a holiday.

Welcome to our guest designer, Cathy

The library craft challenge

Waaaaay back in 1959 we went to a Fancy Dress Ball. Mum of course made our outfits.

My sister went as the queen of hearts from Alice in Wonderland.

I've made a layout featuring the original photo, plus a playing card and a picture of Alice. There's also some mushrooms and a clock. These are all items that appear in the Alice in Wonderland story.

I'm entering this at The library craft challenge where the theme is

The scraproom sketch

This is for the the sketch for Kickstart at the scraproom

It is a fairly pain layout, but I'm happy with it.
I'll let the photos do the talking on this.
This finishes my Counterfeit kit for March, so I will pack up my leftovers and prepare for next month.

Lasting Memories 4 photos sketch

Here's the 4 photo sketch at Lasting memories.

I'm using up the last full sheet of cardstock from my kit plus a large journal block and some other bits and pieces. I even managed to use a cake patty pan and a March circular calendar item.

I followed the sketch pretty much as it is but added the arrow to show that the balloons were ascending.
Riding in a hot air balloon is on my bucket list but I'm not sure if I will ever do it.

Lasting Memories 6 photos.

Here's the double layout sketch.

Once again I used my counterfeit kit for these 2 layouts.

I managed to cut some of the Bo Bunny arrow paper from behind the 2 photos on the first layout and use it for tabs on the second. The 2 pleated flowers helped to tie the 2 together as well.

Here's the double layout

I used For The Record stickers on these as well.

                                           ***********************************
Adding to this I have also made this layout using "for the record" stickers.
I saw a similar idea on Pinterest.

as well as that today, I covered a Dusty Attic notebook using 2 more papers from my Counterfeit Kit, plus some of the embellishments.

Freaky fast formula

At The Scraproom group the freaky fast formula is this

I've used all papers and items from my counterfeit kit. Scraps come in handy for this particular challenge.

My 2 photos are of an extremely long jetty near Concord in Sydney. We went to see it after I bought a painting of it. I used the 2 wider strips going horizontally across the middle, then one of the shorter 2x7 pieces across the middle. My 2 12x3/4 strips are vertical on the left hand side then the remaining strip on the right.

I also added some embellishments such as the 2 tabs plus journal tag ,a yellow strip and a star.

Paper Issues sketch

The most recent sketch at Paper Issues is this one

I'm also guest designer this month at Blossom Tree creations.
So I decided to combine the 2 and come up with this layout.

I've used Blossom Tree creations red toned flowers.

Also on there is white embroidery thread, some chipboard stationery items from Simple Stories Life in colour and the gold border strips are DCMV.
The black and white paper is American Crafts The colour of memories.

Hope you like it! I used my sense of humour on this one.
