Sketchy Saturday & Tuesday Morning sketches

It is the 5th Saturday of the month at Sketchy  Saturday so that means we can pick any sketch.
My card is based on #371
I've put a boho Indie twist on it by using Basic Grey's Indie Range.

I've put my own twist on the sketch, but it was the inspiration for this card.

Next on to Tuesday Morning sketches

I had a felt cut out of 2 ballroom dancers which also matched a sticker I have saying "anniversary".
They went perfectly together on this card.
I added some faux stitching around the circle.

Cardz4Guyz & Crafty cardmakers

I found this challenge on Cardz4guyz to be inspired by a movie.
The Fancy Pants paper was ideal for "Summer Holiday" with Cliff Richards or any of the surfing movies of the 1960s.
I kept it simple,it was colourful enough.

At crafty cardmakers they ask us to use pearls.
A more subdued card perhaps for an older lady.

Non photo layout.

This is a non-picture layout which I have been meaning to do for a while.
In my counterfeit kit was a very busy blue paper saying love, art, create etc.I used white paint to cover most of it then used a paint chip.
Around that I grouped labels from clothes .Add washi, alphas, a wood veneer clothes stand and voila!

Sketch n scrap

This is the first May sketch at Sketch n scrap.
I'm concentrating on my daughter's partner for this layout and a few more to come.
Using my Counterfeit Kit, I've made a very male page about his love of reading and his books.

The tab saying "brilliant" was threatening to come off ,so I stitched it down.

As I had no 3rd photo I've used a large panel featuring a pair of spectacles.
The turquoise spotted bag could be used as another place to hide journaling.
I'll let Jacob do his own journaling on this layout.
As you can see he likes Epic fantasies.

Li'l red wagon,Seize the birthday and Cardz4Galz

At Li'l red wagon there is a male birthday challenge.
At Seize the Birthday it is anything goes.

I've made a grandfather card using some items from my Counterfeit Kit.

And at Cardz4galz they want a shaped card.
I've made my very first Z card.
I hope it qualifies!

May Counterfeit Kit

Our kit this month is http://www.gossamerblue.com/product/march-2017-main-kit/
I'm a happy scrapper because I LOVE blue.

My kit is more masculine and there is no yellow but it does feature some of the criteria.
blues
black lettering
enamel dots
small black alphas
numbers
labels
wood veneers
spectacles
paper with lines
blocks on a paper
dots on paper
small figured paper

I've adapted it to suit my needs and come up with OXFORD BLUES.

The one thing that I couldn't find was bears, so I added some for display purposes only.
If you are away at University in Oxford, you need some home comforts like your teddy bear!

The whole kit started with the Basic Grey sheet featuring the spectacles ,named Oxford.
Suddenly I realised I had plaids, spots, lined paper, scientific labels, cameras etc ,so that was the direction I chose. (Preppy)
Here's the papers

My embellishments in their tray, ready to be used. I didn't go overboard this month.

There are three floral papers, so I added flowers and also a seashell one plus the butterfly stamps (for scientific purposes).
Instead of pink there will be some smaller red appearances.

Now here's the order of the mini blog hop:

Atlantic Hearts challenge

I found a new card challenge site Atlantic Hearts
I've used teal blues from my MAY counterfeit kit plus a Kaiser black plastic flower and BG stickers.
As you can see it is a birthday card.
Sorry about the shadow. I had several tries at scanning this.

At Freshly made Sketches this is their sketch
Here's my take on that
