November Forgeries on the fourth

In the November Counterfeit Kit  I noticed 2 papers which I could forge.

You will need paint, water, a paintbrush, book paper a pencil and scissors.

The first was pink with tiny white arrows.

I used blush acrylic paint in a water wash, then used a white gel pen to draw the arrows.

The other paper was slightly harder.
First, I wrote words across the page using a paintbrush and water mixed paint. Sloped slightly.

Next ,I wrote words on old book paper then drew an outline around each word and cut them out.

They were pasted between the painted words.

I made my library cards in the add on kit from this template http://ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwooddesigns/library.htm

Here are the original library pockets  Carpe Diem by Simple stories

and again, here are mine.

Mojo Monday #422

Over at MOJO MONDAY this is their sketch and here is my card to go with their sketch.
It is the thank you card at the top.

The silver hearts are already punched in the card and the papers are straight.
That diagonal paper plays with your eyes.

Feeling Sketchy

At Feeling sketchy this is the new sketch.

And here is my take on the sketch, another Christmas card of course.
The gingerbread man is holding a sign that says "Let's bake cookies". I hope that qualifies as a quote.

Merry Monday #178 & ABC Christmas Challenges

Here is the challenge at http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.ca/
I started with red & white patterned paper then layered 2 doileys one slightly higher than the other.
The Santa is a cake topper and is 3D on this card as it wiggles with the doiley.
My gold sentiment completes the card
.

At ABC CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE  V is for very cute.
I'm made a card with cute gnome like elves on the background and a large tag that says JOY and features cute reindeer & Santa

Another freaking scrappy challenge

At Another freaking scrappy challenge we are asked to
"Close your eyes and blindly grab 3 items from your stash and incorporate it into a layout. You may use other items, and you may re-colour your items, but incorporate all 3 items into the layout."

As I had just spread out my new Counterfeit Kit, I had plenty to choose from.
On my desk there were sequins (from Christmas card making) and a canvas flower (which I misted in blue) plus a Heidi Swapp "love this" sticker from my CK.
These 3 things became the start of this layout.
This is my cousin Pat and 2 of her grandchildren, Millie and Neo.

November Counterfeit Kit

The November Counterfeit Kit is based on this PINK PAISLEE Cedar Lane range
I love the fresh vibe of this.

Here is my kit
First a range of My minds eye papers from the "Find your wings and fly" range. They feature the salmon pinks, browns and turquoises.

Two of those papers have been counterfeited. More on "Forgeries on the fourth."
I've also added extra papers from the same range (just in case).
I will call this my supplementary papers.
Next are my alphas, the little white ones are rub on alphas.

And here are my embellishments

Note the foxes which are actually wooden Christmas decorations (wood veneer)
and I've put in the remaining squirrels and acorns.

I've also made an add on based on these carpe dium Library Pockets from Simple stories.

Here are mine

That should keep me busy this month!

Here is the order for the blog hop
