Cards in Envy

Over at Cards in Envy the challenge is Anything goes with a bow.

I'm making a start on Easter cards.
I had a E floating about, fancy that!
I've used it with my own handwriting to say E is for Easter.
I made a group of cute bunnies (Mass production & bunnies, get it?)
One has been used on my card along with my ribbon bow & hand cut grass plus punchies.

Sketch 'n'scrap and Use your stuff

This is the latest sketch from Sketch'n'scrap
I found an old photo which said "Phoebe 18/7/28." She was a cousin of Mum's.
This original photo was copied, but I've decided to use the original on my layout as the second photo.
I hope I will be forgiven for it not going landscape like the sketch.

I've used many items from my Counterfeit kit, including 2 8x8 papers, plus twine and flags from D-Lish scraps.
The bicycle is from Funky Flairs.
The doiley with embroidery was an old one that a friend gave me.
It matches the background paper well, don't you think?

I'm also entering it in Use your stuff where the challenge is to use twine.

Unstampabelles

Unstampabelles has a challenge to incorporate the theme Harmony or/and Peace .
Their twist is to use something to do with flight.

A few days ago I found this feather outside my house.
It is hard to see but there is a purple shiny part top right on the feather.
I misted the remainder blue. I've also added a tiny wood veneer bird.

This led me to find paper which featured blue and orange, the colour of my cardstock.
In NSW we celebrate harmony day in March and the colour is ORANGE.
This handy website shows other symbols.

Yes I do my homework.

Lastly Mum always taught me to say thank you, so I've made it a thank you card.

city crafters

At city crafters we are asked to use leftovers to make our card or project.

My card is made from
1 leftover sheet of cream cardstock from a Sara Book
2 metallic paper from layout in last post
3 Bella packaging (black & grey frame)
4 a sticker label
5 one last large brad from a set
6 a stray button
7 short lenth of plastic printed ribbon
8 Another short length of birthday ribbon.

The whole lot is scraps!!!

Scrapping outback colour challenge

At http://scrapping-outback.blogspot.com.au/ you will find this photo.

and the challenge is to use all the colours in the photo plus at least one piece of chipboard.

I started by misting 3 Bazzil chips with "sugar maple". They remind me of those biscuits on top of the drinks.
I've used a Jennifer Grace Happy Scatter card which I misted part of with turquoise. This will be my title and journaling card.
My background paper is Kaisercraft .
Next I found 2 6x6 papers ,one white with orange & blue accounting details and the other a metallic bronze colour to echo the table in the picture.
I've used cork Geotags from Studio Calico plus resin spots scattered that match the milky drink.
Finally, I noticed green leaves in the background so I have added a teacup sticker plus the sign saying "this way" which both feature green.
My photo contains some of the colours from the theme as well.

4 crafty chicks #235

This is Lori's sketch from 4craftychicks.
I've made a taller card using some smaller pieces of brown toned paper I had.
I used the first of the Collected & Co. typewriters from my Counterfeit kit too.
The sentiment sticker is from MME collectable range.

I have a friend going through a stressful time so thought I'd give her this plus a journal to document her feelings etc.

MY TIP FOR THE MONTH: know your stash and organise it so you can find things easily. I have places where I keep each type of item. My papers are organised by colours.
