The challenge at Seize the birthday is Kraft and red.
I've made a card that doubles for a December birthday or Christmas card. I'm replenishing my stock.
Here is the January 1st sketch at sketches in Thyme.
I decided to use blue and aqua from my kit for this layout plus touches of black. I like the way it has turned out using those colours.
I used 2 Cocoa Vanilla flairs plus black ribbon and a black brad. The part doiley was in my scraps box so I found a use for that.
The whole layout is about the love these 2 share. This photo was taken at my 70th Birthday lunch.
For challenge #2 we are asked to choose one word for 2025.
I've chosen HEALTHY
Last year was filled with firstly torn ligaments in my foot, then my left knee in great pain. My eye specialist discovered n infection in my eye that got worse before it got better and finally my heart went into AF (arterial fibulation). They tried cardio version but it didn't work.
To start of this year, I'm having a more serious operation on my heart (Ablation), then a knee replacement in March or April.
I just want to be healthy!
I use a photo of my X ray on my knee plus one of the burn marks on my chest. I found this quite good quote so added that too.
and a close up of the journalling.
Lasting memories #733 wants deliberate journalling.
I made a page about the end of our European holiday and our last day in Greece. We went to the island of Symi where we swam and looked in the shops. A perfect place to wind dowm.
On this layout I used a postcard and a mini blackboard for my journalling.
A friend gave me some TLC Christmas items so I used them on this sketch layout.
I'm entering it at Scrap Challenge YOUrself
At the male room they want clean and simple.
I've made a card using a couple of scraps I had plus some blue alphas.
Here's the recipe for Freaky Fast formula this month.I decided to use floral papers for my bigger pieces and continued the flowers with 3 wood veneer daisies.
After cutting the pieces to the correct size I arranged them on my page. The 2 Kookaburra photos face each other on the right. It is the same bird from 2 different angles. I used more of the cork alphas and a piece of pink spotted ribbon across the base. I also added a wood veneer word joy under my photos.
I used this sketch for the first layout.
The background blue cardstock was embossed with Seasons Greetings etc. I've had it for years and never used it. The seond blue paper had wedding written down one side. I tore that off and used it across the layout.
The plaid paper worked well and stood out across the blue. I had a packet of bling hands which I put as junctions on the plaids. Also from my kit I had a small card saying good job and a sticker of a lady with hair wrapped in a towel. Both suited the theme.
I added a green star from charms creations and a sticker of a phone. The journal card is and old one I had from Prima St Tropez collection. I also used some wood veneers that came in a pack as a prize.
The Counterfeit kit chosen this month is
I've put a summer spin on this kit and included summery colours and embellishments to suit.
