I'm adding another 2 cards with the Mintay paper.
That's been used up now. More fussy cutting as trims.
I'm adding another 2 cards with the Mintay paper.
That's been used up now. More fussy cutting as trims.
Yesterday I made 3 pink cards using Mintay papers. On one side is the floral background and the other has small pictures that match. In each case, I cut these out to put on a card.
After seeing this sketch on Facebook I decided to make a card. It is for Freshly made sketches.
I used a smaller size cardboard so have no room for a picture, but this will be handy as a get-well card.
I've also made a card for Less is more. They want pink, white and blue.
At cardz4guyz they want spooky or birds.
I'm not doing spooky (ie Halloween), so birds it is!
I've started on Christmas cards again as I sold 28 this morning. (Hooray).
This uses sophisticated colours of maroon and copper and features a brown bird. It is very suitable for a man.
I've made a quick card using fussy cut feathers with a boot for Farmquest.
It features a roller skate with an old fashioned boot. I also put part of a doiley, and some enamel dots.

Also today, I decided to use up my scraps from this month's Counterfeit Kit.
Most of them were that jade colour so they matched in.
I had the scrapbooking part done when I saw the fan that I fussy cut from an old birthday card. As it was florals, I used it too. I then stitched around it with orange thread. I added the wood veneers and a brad as well as the title, and here you have it!
I've gone nostalgic with this page and used the Kaisercraft "Miss Betty" range. It is all from that range, except the white lace daisies, which came from that era also.
That's me in the red cardigan (believe it or not!) and my big sister in the yellow.
We went to an animal park with a neighbour and her children. The girl in the photo is 3 years younger than me but we all played together as kids and I'm still in touch with her. That made me think of the quote.
I made another layout today. This one is for Soul Scrappers sketch challenge.
A bonus use was "Are we there yet?" That was a scrap I had on my desk.
The basic grey aphas were unable to be repositioned.
At Shopping our stash they want a Halloween card.
I turned my card sideways so that it opens at the bottom. My background striped paper I have had for years. The colours never seem to go with anything ............until now. I tried orange and it works!
I had black ric-rac with a gold fleck through it and it matched the 31 numbers perfectly!

At Farmquest they want an outdoor farmy Christmas card.
I made this card using scraps of Christmas paper plus a digital image.
Donna set a grid challenge to use 4 squares as background.
I used my kit for everything on here. The stickers are from the Miss Betty collection and I managed to cut into the map and the duck paper I had included.
It's rare for me but I'm making a Halloween card (for my daughter). She's right into it! I'm not.
I've used a long slim card and shades of black and purple.
and at Li'l red wagon they want a Birthday card with the theme of who wants to live forever?
I added lace plus a scalloped border and a floral circle, plus a tag with the sentiment.
I used this sketch to create a layout using more of my counterfeit kit. The paper is from the Miss Betty range and I used offcuts of neutral card as my background matting. I misted in red and cut some circles plus inked a lid and printed circles as well.
At Daring cardmakers they want a card to do with games.
(Indoor or outdoor)
I used some Paperhouse basketball cardboard pictures on this card plus the words "Game on ".
Freaky Fast formula at the scrap room this month is this.
I have used papers from my Counterfeit Kit.
I used 2 photos of Dad and my nephew, who shared a close bond. One of those photos I used before on this layout.
We are asked to make a layout based on this sketch. It was suggested as part of the My Creative Scrapbook kit.
I decided to choose the apricot colours as I had a perfect photo to match.
I cut the large circle plus a few smaller ones from the patterned paper. I then used a jade Jillybean soup Turquoise salt paper as my feature mat. I added white card as the other layer.
Next job was stitching 2 complete circles around the patterned paper. I assembled it all on the page and added lace flowers, plus a coloured flower from my kit along with a wood veneer fern. The final item was the large Glitz sticker of a lady in a garden of orange flowers. It matched the photo perfectly. My title and accompanying oval and ticket stickers are from the Miss Betty range.
At Allsorts challenge they want vintage.
I had a card featuring an old telephone and found some paper that looks like a man's handkerchief. I combined those plus some old ric rac to match on this card.
It can work in a variety of situations but might be a way of contacting someone you haven't heard from in a while or with whom you've lost touch.
And The male room want a get-well card for a male.
I used another plaid paper with a centre brown rectangle. I hand wrote my sentiment and added a motif featuring a dove.
At Soul Scrappers this is the grid.
I decided to go across the bottom row,
I used a heart patterned Kraft, so used that with a torn piece of pale blue. I used darker blue for my mats.
I managed to fit all 4 photos on the page (hooray!) It is also a before and after page as I saw the car back in May.
I used Jillybean soup hexagons in red and blue and the 2 owls from this month's kit.
I had to use different alphas because I didn't have an A in the blue.
I'm loving my new car and don't regret this purchase.
This is also being entered at Lasting Memories where they want us to scrap something new.
Here's the sketch at Sketch 'n' scrap.
Using elements in my kit, I cut a larger tag as my background. Next, I used a long layered sticker as my sentiment. The flower is fussy cut from a sheet of pictures by American Crafts.
I'm also entering it a AAA birthday we are asked to use our favourite colour. Mine is the jade green colour that features on my card.
A. Theme- party; 1. Halloween 2. Birthday, 3. Your choice
I used the remainder of the spotted paper in my kit and its matching ribbon.
After cutting the rounded corners on my 2 photos I used white mats as my background pieces then matched flowers to the colour scheme. I inked the fern branches in green.
My title came from the buddha, peaceful!
Ribbon used up, glue bottle finished, flowers used so a practical layout as well.
I made this so sweet layout to get a start on my kit.
This pelican fountain was at a nursery, and I first saw the watery side with the pelican peeking through the glass. It was a cute photo-worthy set up.
I matted it on duck themed children's paper and added a tag I made ages ago. The dragonfly colours matched perfectly. I used the remaining ricrac I had on here plus a daisy lace flower. I also stitched a row in orange to "underline" it.
The quote says, " do more use less, collect beautiful moments. "
