Share on bird is the word

Here's a layout for Bird is the word this month using the word share.I've used scrapmatts leaves plus a fancy clip I recently received as a prize from another web site.(see I do appreciate my prizes!!!)

I love this colour green and it worked out well the 3 "boys" were all wearing the same colour.

A2z scraplets

Here's my entry for A2Z scraplets using their word "nana".(The correct spelling is nanna).I used 3 tags I already had plus misted the word Nana.I added a variety of flowers including a prima blingy one under the photo.Final touches were rhinestones and ribbon.Mum has just turned 93 and is a great grandmother of 3.She is doing very well for her age and her favourite colour is blue, hence the page.

Beyond the door scrap challenge

"The eyes are the windows to the soul" is a favourite quote of mine. I had chipboard saying that, so used glimmer mist to create the heading. The hydrangea paper matched the colours in the photo and the lace & buttons also complemented it.On my layout the lace is flat down,it flipped up in the scanner.

Scrap the boys required household ephemera

Scrap the boys this month asks for household ephemera on your layout. I've used a medicine bubble packet on this layout of Jonathan on Open day 2011.He welcomed the school speaking French and held the umbrella, along with a few others during the gumboot dance.I've also used a scrap of denim from old jeans with a rhinestone star on it.

Butterfly at Kraft it up.

This layout looks dark because it is! I chose butterfly patterned craft card then misted with blue glimmermist.I sewed a piece of blue denim containing a pocket, where I have hidden my journalling. The story behind this was the fabric butterfly arrived while Christopher was there, so he put it on his finger and balanced on his nose for fun. He looked so cute I took these photos.

1,2,3 and white on white

123's challenge this month was white on white plus the word "on".I've made a layout using various laces, some cut from a wedding dress. Also I used scrapmatts ornate frame, lampost and signboards all painted white.Sheet music and white shiny cardstock complete the picture.I've left white space to the top and left of the photo.

Gone dotty another SFS entry.

Is this enough spots for ya??? I used 3 different spotty papers plus spotted ribbon. To balance it I recycled the framework from mini lettering stickers as the backing for the word discover.I also amazed myself by making a pleated flower. The word "discover " is from scrapmatts and inked with sage.

This was on Port Arthur in Tasmania.

on the Rialto with Scrapbooking from Scratch

Scrapbooking from scratch are having a sketch a day competition for September. I did this layout based on a sketch from Sassy little sketches.Loved the red white and blue tones in this!
One of the criteria was to hand make an embellishment so I drew a gondola and striped pole which are so common in Venice.
I'm really enjoying doing these challenges, why not pop over and join in.Prizes are awarded daily.

Biggest fountain at Aussie scrapjacked

I've scrapjacked Mandy's layout "Luna Park" this month.Weaving the strips of text paper was a forgotten technique that I enjoyed again. This fountain in Glasgow is the Worlds biggest terra cotta fountain named the Doulton Fountain.

And the winner of my wall plaque giveaway is Von Phillips! Congratulations. It will arrive in the post next week.

white with one

The dark patches on this are because the scanner didn't like the rosebuds! I used a scrapmatts frame which I inked white and put descriptive words around the outside. There are several laces, doileys etc to embellish the layout. The title is pale pink fozz felt.

Nice ear! and bright colours

For scrap the girls this month the requirement is to use clips.I made this layout using a floral circle (hand cut) from a scrapbooking calendar.I then matted my photo on yellow cardstock and decorated with pink strips of ribbon. There is a circular metal clip on the top of this. Then I added blingy brads in a half circle around the outside of the flowers and a yellow tag containing the red clip and the title. The bright pink corrugated cardboard adds texture.
My daughter was trying to stop me from taking her photo so I took one of her ear instead.(Just for fun).

Harry Potter visits Artastic

This month's Artastic challenge required blue paper with white flowers. I searched a few scrapbooking shops and this was the closest I could find. The paper is a blue/grey(petrol) colour with blue and white flowers. I used several strips of paper to get some blue into this layout plus fabric covered buttons from TPC studio. Finally a touch of silver ribbon to bring in the magical quality.Even though it is floral, I think the boy quality is there.

Travelling with black with two

I made this layout named "Travel broadens the arms" for black with two.First I hand drew a tree minus the foilage. Then I cut circles and added buttons.Luckily I had a strip of paper featuring clouds so used that for the sky then created a wavy landscape using scraps of another blue paper.I added a scrapmatts black fence and cat then inked the scrapmatts word"Travel" for the title.

The photo was at Stonehenge of course.

From screen to scrap at toontown

From screen to scrap this month was based on the movie,Rio.We required a one word title,red/blue/yellow colours and a bird. I drew the bird(Disney character) on to this layout and used some very old patterned paper that came free in scrapbooking memories. It just proves if you keep something long enough it comes in handy!

Stuck on a double page.

I've created these 2 pages to illustrate the scrapmatts cogs.On the first page they're connected and on the second they are 4 loose cogs.

I've used jillybean soup lettering and metal shaped brads on both layouts. The 2nd one named having fun is for stuck sketches this month.
