Lets get shabby's 2nd birthday layout challenge #25

The photo features 3 concentric circle plates plus (I thought) a grey serviette and silver fork. So, I went with the colours grey/black/white and silver, echoing these shapes. Background paper is Bella Ancestry Progeny.I used music and chipboard(inked silver).I also used the negative of a larger chipboard to paint the pattern on the largest concentric circle-it was fleur de lis and leaves. We also need the number 2 and as this is the 2nd layout of this holiday group I called it holiday group 2.I was tempted to add some pale blue but decided to leave it as it was.

Stuck?! sketches entry.

This is my entry for Stuck?! sketches second June challenge.I painted the backing cardstock with white dots then used 2 different pattern papers,a giant chipboard button plus a scrapmatts corset with matching rhinestones.I journalled using dymo tape ans the title is a play on words "Cause it's me" became corsets me.

Show us your stuff

Thena and I met up again after saying goodbye in 1976.To us,we still feel the same. So I decided to call this layout what wrinkles!?

The criteria for show us your stuff was teal and cream with a handmade item...the crochet flower. I also hand cut the bottom edging of the teal strip.

Lollipop ladies lick the beaters

I was inspired for the lollipop ladies challenge by the actual dripping chocolate.I cut the brown cardstock to look like drips running down the page.I've added metallic hearts, small silver brads and a loopy brad behind the string bow.

black with pale blue and hearts

Here's my entry for Black with 2 which was pale blue and hearts.I used a scrapmatts black bevilled edge heart plus another chipboard heart on to which I pasted a photo and edged it in lace. This is my cousins grandson,Henry.

off to a retreat

I'm attending a retreat at Branxton NSW this weekend with "Scrapbooking from scratch".
There will be some classes as well as free scrapping time.We are sleeping in caravans so I'm taking all my winter woolies.Hopefully I will have some great layouts to display on here when I return.

Anna's sketch

The Fozz felts are actually pink and match the rest of the layout well.I've noticed felts don't scan properly.I used antique laces for the large flower and hand dyed the 2 smaller crochet flowers.Papers are Websters-Lullaby lane puppies and pigtails and Martha Stewart. Butterflies and label outline are scrapmatts.Border punch is by fiskars and I pinecone inked the edges.I went for the olde worlde look.

Sale! Sale! sale!

I don't normally do commercial on my blog......goodness knows we get enough on TV.
BUT http://www.wildaboutscrap.com.au/ WILD ABOUT SCRAP has a sale on with up to 70% off on really great brands like 7 gypsies and cosmo Cricket.I couldn't resist it.There is a flat rate of $6.50 on postage so there's no worry about hidden postal costs.
I'm $35 poorer but will have lots of new goodies to play with soon.

Trevi Fountain and a mystical sketch

There's something about the Trevi Fountain that you don't understand until you have been there! It is the uplifting people around it.We did the traditional throwing of a coin and made a wish.I did this layout to remember those moments.Typical of me to have my mouth open!

I used scrapmatts gate and hinges,Kaisercraft Le Chateau lock and key stamp, antique lace,Kaisercraft rub-on,prima flowers plus a large punched flower to balance that purple. The sketch was from pencil lines and is this months Mystical challenge.

swirls on Carnaby Street

The challenge at Lollipop ladies was rainbow paddle pops with colours of purple/pink/yellow and swirls.I found this "all my memories" paper which took me back to the psychadelic '60s and Carnaby St.Luckily I've been there. We passed this shop with a facade to look like a radio.I hand painted swirls on the purple cardstock then mounted the photo at an angle and trimmed with looped robbon and corrugated cardboard.I matted the bottom third of the page with mesh.

Artastic layout

I tried everywhere for nautical themed paper but couldn't find any.Even though these are Christmas colours I think they work and match the photo.Robyn has been my friend for many years and now lives in Port Macquarie. Our kids grew up together mucking about on the boat or swimming. The October afternoon cards here reminded me of them.

I've included striped paper, boats and 2 people so it matches the criteria.

Colour room chandelier

I've realised that I spelt chandelier wrong but as they are rub ons I can't change it.The colours this week were apple green, turquoise, sky and grey. This background paper fitted the bill nicely. The chandelier was in the Victoria and Albert museum in London where we spent part of our holiday. With the domed roof and archways it looked quite spectacular.

Aussie Scrapjacked shining star.

Wow! Two layouts in one morning.I'm channelling my mojo big time.
This layout featuring our very clever Christopher,is a scrapjack of Mel's layout on Aussie Scrapjacked. I used Kaiserkraft Class of 87 papers,Weave Extra stars, embossed gold paper plus a felt flower I made.It was also an opportunity to use alphas I have bits of.I'm feeling a sense of accomplishment after this one.

New scooter at Kraft it up

Annabelle received a new scooter for her 4th birthday. I took photos of each step of the process as she hadn't ridden a scooter before.

For Kraft it up this month we needed a timeline,a minimum of 3 photos and journalling.I think my layout fits the bill.I picked up the crimson in the bicycle with corrugated card and ribbon featuring the same pink. The fozz felt title stands out more in reality.

Up and Away at FS2S

From screen 2 scrap this months theme was Up.I used the London Eye as my inspiration.Required elements are clouds, balloons and a 3d embellishment. The latter is my organza ribbon rosette which fluffs out nicely when not being squashed in the scanner.I put 2 photos on this layout, one of the eye from across the river and one from inside the eye of a view underneath. The edge of my camera bag is there to prove we were in it.

Life is just a bowl of cherries

I cross stitched these cherries for this layout and stitched them on using my machine.I also stitched a border and circle as well. The patterned paper is Japanese.Erica was wearing her red polkadot dress and even my webber is round so there's an abundance of circles in this layout. This is for this months white with one challenge

Black with 2 and a wild horse

My mother's first ever horse ride. After this photo was taken her horse took off and went up some steps and into a shop. She had to be rescued.

I used some 3d letters for Wild and a rub on pirate flag skeleton.Add photo corners and a journalling shape from jennibowlin and of course, the string with tied knots and here you are!
