Stuck!? at Versailles
I used this pink paislee paper as the basis for the Stuck!? sketch this month.I added 2 photos of inside Versailles palace showing all the ornate decoration, then decided to make my layout over the top as well.I used my little shoebox tags plus the bird one I received in a swap,Sam and Lucy "weave extra square buttons,a lace doiley I hand dyed,Scrapmatts birds and lettering which says "over le top".This is a mix of languages, but describes Versailles perfectly.

Our Vintage affair box
The challenge on our vintage affair was to make a box to contain photos. I chose this flat square box for my old polaroid photos which are precious as I have no negatives.
I covered the box using Grant Archival paper featuring a chrysanthemum.I used rhinestones to highlight the centre of the flower. The chipboard heart circle was embossed after inking it white.I then put rhinestones in the centre of each tiny heart.I used antique lace around the edges of the box.

Aussie Scrapjacked
Here's a layout I've made for Aussie Scrapjacked which is a scraplift of one done by Bec Miller.I used chipboard hearts by scrapmatts,2 of which I embossed and 2 left raw on patterned paper. The pink spangly lace was an offcut I found at Vinnies.
During Chinese New Year a violinist visited my mother and played beautiful music to her such as Pachobel's Canon. You can see she was delighted.

Just for fun-first day at kInder
Something weird happened with the scanning on this one...the lettering is bright pink! Perhaps because it is felt-I don't know.
Anyway I used a topiary tree from scrapmatts plus matching topiary rub ons I found in my stash. The quote on the doiley says "sugar and spice and everything nice...that's what little girls are made of". I haven't done a girly layout for a while and enjoyed getting this one done.Annabelle looked so cute in her uniform.

White with 1
I used a scrap(which is all I had) of lace from my great grandmothers stash above the photo as my vintage item.
The chipboard fler de lises and lamp post are by twiddlybits. The papers are Kaisercraft Duchess and the lettering is Rusty Pickle.Added to all that was some old sheet music and some Kaisercraft pearls, plus a luggage tag.I used my sewing machine to stitch the shaped paper on to the white card.

Lets get shabby at a wedding
This photo has been hanging around on my desk for a while. It was taken at a friend's wedding in 1979. I found these Duchess papers by Kaisercraft matched the colours nicely.I'm also trying to use up odd letters from alphas that are left over.My pet name for my then fiancee was Wozzy-foz,hence the heading. And I also used 3 V's joined together to form the shape next to the button. The topiary tree was inked in pinecone and is from scrapmatts, the heart shape next to the jornalling came from the centre-very economical!
I also used a scrap of embroidery I cut from an old hand towel. It added another touch of shabby chic.

Here's one I'm proud of!
My grandmother's maiden name was Livi.(Italian descent)
This photo features 13 members of the Livi family or direct descendants.
The layout is on "My minds eye" paper and features BG Black tie lettering,a flower I made from dress pattern with a fancy brad and softly inked edges. There are 2 more brads surrounding the "Lost and Found" Family box as well as flourishes from scrapmatts.I added some bling for extra depth plus a beaded lace scrap.

a new scrapping word-upcycling
I just saw this on A teacup of scrapisms UPCYCLING-Upcycling is repurposing element for your LO...so there's plentyof ideas; cardboard what was the back of a old spiral calendar, some pegs, some black and white striped fabric, dressmaking pattern tissue, old doilies, old buttons, printed matter and an old 'bridge scorer' used as a journaling block. I've been doing it on my layouts for a while without realising there was a word for it! Thanks Mandysea.
Kraft it up with Mad Max
This Kaisercraft paper called K-bots laser proved a challenge to me.I went to the Kaisercraft website to look for examples on how to use it and couldn't find a single layout. I then googled and could only find sites selling it....SO this could be the first layout using K-Bots Laser!
The strong diagonals meant that the photo went in the bottom left corner and I worked out from there. It is mounted equidistant on the Kraft with about 1cm all around. I used lots of rubons, chipboard( from scrapbookingncraft) and some doodling. I think it all works, hope the Kraft it up people do too.the colours this month were kraft with orange, black and turquoise.

Artastic bees farewell for honeymoon
Here's a layout from my wedding in 1982, where I was saying farewell to my one and only nephew.(He's now 36!) It is a special memory for me.I used a wedding proof of Nathan and his parents to echo the big picture, using a scrapmatts heart which I inked in gold then misted with yellow-it came out copper.
The technique I used was embossing with copper foil using a stylus over a patterned picture frame. It went so well with the Rebecca Sower paper called Beeswax. There is a bee also in copper foil on the bottom left hand side. This is my entry for Artastic this month.
