Here is my entry for aA2zscraplets.I had a beautiful flower chipboard but couldn't fit it on so I squeezed in the kaisercraft flowers instead. The papers are from a stack I bought at BigW called La Creme. They are all gorgeous cremes/blacks/whites.Some have flocked patterns on them. The rub on is from 7 gypsies.

Farewell shabbychic.
Thank you.
I read others blogs and leave comments and quite often never hear a word in return,so when I do it is a great feeling.
I've been working on my mini album from the Purplescraps retreat last October and am pleased to report it is almost finished. It has been on my scrapping desk with photos for 4 months, so now a space has been cleared.Yipee!

Rak winner and a frustrating couple of days.
Scrapbook news and review needed a contract signed and returned within 3 days.It came through to me as gobbletygook.I was almost in tears of frustration trying to print it out.I sent them 3 emails asking for it in word format.
Finally Loubylou from Enchanted scrapbooking suggested I reload Adobe reader and hey presto, there was the contract in English.I quickly signed it an emailed it along with descriptions of materials for each of the 6 layouts.
I had an expensive trip to get 2 photos developed today. They cost 30 cents but on the way out I noticed Big W had pads of scrapbooking papers on special.I bought 2 plus some chipboard, so that trip cost me nearly $50.

Thank you Erica!
I'm not technically minded and have been looking at my google picture thinking everyone will think i'm a boozer.Seriously,it was only 1 goldfish bowl at the Purplescaps retreat.I found out later it had tequila in it!!!(my first taste of the lethal mexican brew.) It is months since I have had any alcohol. This new picture just shows my triple chin and wrinkles.HaHa.

Erica meets a horseguard
This month's challenge for Enchanted scrapbooking was to cut a photo in half and split it.Looking through my people photos most of them had overlapping arms etc but I had this one of Erica and a horseguard. I had watched an ABC show about them so wanted a photo.
ME:" Stand next to him and I'll take your photo"HER: No.ME: "go on" ,so she stood near but not next to.This worked out ideal for this challenge. I'm loving the red/grey/black combo.

magpie kisses
I went all colonial and country-like with this layout. This photo is of 2 magpies sitting on a gate near my daughter's house. Here I explained an old poem our family always says to count the kisses someone puts on a greeting card.On further research I discovered it is an old Irish poem used to count magpies.
I left the corrugated cardboard half uncovered to get the rustic look, then inked the background paper, the card, the fence and the bird. This will go to the site called Stuck?! sketches.
