My time to craft

At my time to craft they want us to use fibre. This can include twine, ribbon, embroidery cotton, fabric etc.

The word 'fabric' reminded me I had some bright fabric with frogs on. I used Jack paper to adhere it to my card then added a journal square for my sentiment and some matching washi tape.

It will be a good card for children as it is bright and colourful.

The scraproom FFF and others.

Here's the recipe for Freaky Fast Friday

I used my kit to make this layout of my daughter dressed as a sheep.

The next one was for a sketch challenge at Sketches in Thyme.

This 3rd one was for another challenge involving fussy cutting.

This final one made me use lots of bits and pieces. The wood veneer leaves I bought recently in a specials bin, the buttons were old, the J was a cut out one from when I first learnt scrapbooking 20 years ago and the butterfly stickers are new. The word paradise has been hanging around for a couple of years, it was from Kaisercraft set I had. Best of all was the paper which is a long-term resident on my scrap shelf.

Two new layouts.

Time to catch up on my layouts from this kit.

The first one was for Sketches in Thyme.

I used landscape photos but followed the sketch closely otherwise.

The second one was for another sketch challenge.

I had fun using up lots of leftover strips and managed to hide a paper featuring cotton reels on my background. Also pleased to use the geotag and the zebra ribbon (or some of it anyway).

July Counterfeit kit.

This month it is my turn to choose a kit.

I had an idea to do a look back at old kits we did years ago and repeat one as a

 FLASHBACK MONTH

Here's the kit I've chosen

It is the Noel Mignon Balboa kit from July 2014. It has a definite Carribean calypso feel.

Click here  to see my original interpretation of that kit.

A couple of things I noticed back then was the Blackboard trend with black matte papers you could write on. The other was flairs and brads which I used a lot of back then.

Without further Ado here's my kit this time around. I've named it CALYPSO DAYS

A big welcome to our guest designer (also a flashback as she was around back in 2014).

KATE BODDY BLUE

I'm Kate Blue, your guest designer for July! When I saw the Noel Mignon Balboa kit, the first thing that caught my eye was the mix of bright bold colors with a splash of black. The second things were the prints- hearts, butterflies and polka dots. So that's where I started my kit, I was determined to use vintage paper stash as much as possible. I then kept my embellishments add-on kit somewhat small (for me anyway) focusing on butterflies, cards, frames, sparkly bits and lots of various alphas. And there you have my July kit; hope I'll inspire you as the month goes by!

Now here is the blog hop
Have a great month everyone!
