Stuck?! sketch February 15th

I have a photo of my daughter's paintball team to scrap. This sketch  suited what I wanted to achieve.
I started by double stitching the 2 circles in the background. The purple card with the splats is actually a Christmas card recycled.
The other embellishments are all from my Counterfeit kit, excepting the purple ribbon at the top.
I chose the orange circle awards to contrast to the duller colours.

Try it on Tuesday

Try it on Tuesday has a vintage challenge.
I'm finishing up my Counterfeit kit for this month and found I still had the vintage lace to use.

I've chosen 2 aqua papers but made them more vintage by using pinecone ink and a punched border on the spotted one.
I added the vintage lace (from my grandmother) along the right hand edge.
My tag in the centre features a fussy cut picture of a compote of fruit
with some neutral grey and white papers. I added some enamel dots to finish it off.
Hope you like it!

I started with a Kaiser paper, mainly white, but with touches of green and writing on it.
I also had in my kit a half of a shaped Kaiser paper featuring roses in pinks and greens.
After cobbling those together, I matted my photo in brown, then on a scrap of pink .
I popped a doiley under the mat to add depth.
Next I added some butterfly stickers from Sassafrass Lass and some wood veneer leaves.

Checking the colours they're all there.

Use your stuff

At Use your stuff they want sparkly.

I had a pretty box from something I received at Christmas.
It had a window on the front and I thought I could use it on this card.
The picture of the girl is from a scrap of patterned paper.
My sentiment goes well across the fold in the box and I used stickers from MME across the bottom of the card.

Meanwhile at Mod Squad challenges the theme is winter.
I've made a card that says Warm thoughts and features a watercolour background in blues and purples. My tag has snowflakes on it.

Cardz4guyz & 4 crafty chicks

Over at Cardz4guys the challenge is Something with the letter L.

I had some sparkly leaves remaining from a sheet of Halloweeen stickers I bought in Michaels.
Using 2 oval stickers from my kit, I arranged the leaves.

Over at 4 crafty chicks ,there is an ATG challenge with layers as the extra criteria.
Using my Counterfeit Kit Items, I've made this Congratulations card.
A friend is retiring soon and this will be perfect for her.

Challenge #1 I love Paris.

Counterfeit kit challenge has its first challenge today.
I chose to celebrate LOVE (Valentines Day is coming up) by creating this layout about my favourite European city.

I used an Imagination Project paper named "Leaves at Breakfast" for my background with a chevron backing mat from American crafts.
I had the ADORE card plus the heart card in my kit.
The confetti hearts arrived recently in an order from Bramble fox.
Inside the folder I put my story of that morning.......

Here's the info for the challenge

WE all love Paris.
Capture the mood of Paris in your layout/card/tags.
Use iconic buildings from Paris (need I list them?)
Add love hearts, lace, whatever you want. They don’t have to feature photos of Paris!

Alphabet challenge & Inspired by all the little things

At Alphabet challenge the theme is wheels.
Inspired by little things has this picture to inspire us.

Using one of the papers from my Counterfeit Kit I've made this card saying LOVE.

I also used one of the oval stickers plus a Prima flower.
There are no hearts on it but the message of love is clear.

Cardz4guyz

Over at Cardz4guyz they want musical. I used pink heart paper as my background.
Men can have pink too!
I used music paper plus a grey sticker and domino washi tape.
My sentiment says "Hey there Handsome" and I've added 3 black enamel stars to complete it.

Off the rails

I chose the most colourful photo I had for Off the Rails this month. It is of a parrot at the birdlife park in Cairns.

The background of my layout is a bright turquoise blue. (Scanner makes it paler).
I put gesso through a mask to make white shapes. The surrounding paper was white so I've used cut off strips to frame the layout.
I've also misted with white but that is harder to see.
I matted my photo on bright orange paper then added a torn strip of corrugated card. There is also a chipboard circle.

Rochelle Spears February Sketch

I've used a Heidi Swap paper as the background on this layout plus a HEART PAPER.
It is for Rochelle Spears sketch challenge

I'm on a mission to use up all my ribbon stash,so instead of the sewing top and bottom I have used ribbon.(One from my Counterfeit Kit.
I recently purchased a gorgeous Twiddlybits Wrought Iron border so that is there too under the photos.

I've also used a flair from Bramble Fox and some Prima flowers which both formed part of my Let's get sketchy prize.

Let's get sketchy

I'm the feature designer this month at Let's get sketchy

Here's the February Sketch

and here's my interpretation of it.

Why not join in the fun over there. This was an easy sketch to recreate.

February Stuck sketches!

Here's the first Stuck sketch for February.

Using my Counterfeit Kit, I decided to do a layout about the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.

The paper is an old one.
I have several sheets.
The tag at an angle features a lady with a bird cage. It goes with the romance of Venice.
My 2 smaller tags feature music wood veneers and there is also a fleur de lis wood veneer.
The picture on the RHS is actually from the ceiling.(I turned it sideways to look better on my layout.)
My enamel dots are Shimelle. I thought it needed a touch of gold.
