Snarky stampers,613 creates and Male Room.

At the Sisterhood of Snarky stampers there is a tartan challenge.

I've used a santa stamp plus the sentiment stamp with tartan background paper and a tartan ribbon.

Next I've made a male card using only gold colouring ,with mixed media technique.
I misted using gold mist through a mask of squares.
The dog and other pieces are stickers from MME "Hey Mister" collection.

I'm entering it at 613 Avenue creates (monochrome) and Male Room (mixed media).

Lastly here are some more felt animals I've made while keeping warm at night.

Water cooler Wednesday

The challenge at Water Cooler Wednesday is to create a men's card.
I'm on a mission to use up the wild asparagus alphas that were in my Counterfeit kit, so some are on here.
Now I have an ear worm singing the song "My guy".

Sketch 'n'scrap July 15th challenge.

No automatic alt text available.

This is the sketch for the single page at Sketch'n'scrap on July 15th
We would love you to join in!

I used a distress ink on the background of my layout to create a tawny look.
My layout is titled A wim away from the song
My background circles are cut wood veneers.

Fusion and colour throwdown card challenges

Here's the sketch and the theme.
I've turned the sketch upside down with the strip on the right.
Next, I've made a library pocket using paper saying "holidays", "summer", "sightseeing" etc.
It features a compass which is attached to the front.
A gift card or even paper money can be placed in the pocket when this card is given.
I finished up with 3 enamel dots in beach colours.

Next is Colour Throwdown's latest challenge.

I'm fresh out of watermelons but I kept to the colour palette and made a birthday card for a daughter.

If you are one of the 30 + people who look at my blog, why not comment occasionally. I love to see you are reading my blog.

The Scrap Room

This is the July jump start challenge at http://thescraproomblog.blogspot.com.au/2017/07/july-jumpstart-sketch-challenge-and.html.

Using another piece of my October Afternoon 5 and Dime paper and co-ordinating cardstocks I prepared my background.
In my Counterfeit kit was a yellow feather which went with the theme. The gingham ribbon carries on the retro look as does the tabs at the bottom. My photos are neutral colours which go well with the colourful layout.
The "Hi There" card and "Cheeky" title were made from previous leftover kits items.

Scrapbookit

Scrapbookit has this sketch for July.

Our project must have a Christmas theme and feature 3 things starting with C.
I've used Chipboard letters, a crown on the journal block, carollers on a tag and a cane chair transparency. That makes 4.

First Christmas card for the year & tictactoe

I've started on the Christmas cards and here's the first one.
The challenge at http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au/ is old and new.

I've had a roll of gold embossed paper for several years so opened it and used it as my background. OLD Next I used a bracket sticker someone gave me last month NEW. In the centre of that I recycled a Christmas card OLD and finally, added some colour to the corner with a red tree. NEW

And over at the Tictactoe challenge

I've gone down the right hand side to make a bon voyage card.
The woodgrain came from a MME Miss Caroline packet of brads(recycling).
I wrapped the washi tape around and the card is square.

Shopping our stash

This background paper is one I put in my kit especially to use it up. It has been hanging around for far too long. I've made a CAS card using 3 strips that come off the bottom of scrapbook papers.
Quick and easy!
I'm entering it at shopping our stash where they want CAS cards

Crafty Cardmakers and others.

There is a tic tac toe challenge at Crafty Cardmakers.

I decided to do the middle vertical column. There are 4 patterned papers, a stamp and ribbon.

And at http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com.au/  they want a thank you card for a teacher.

Next is a travel card for Crazy4challenges  where they want us to choose a popular travel destination and make a card about it.
A friend recently gave e some Darkroom Door Montages.
Can you guess where my card is set?

The sticker in the centre matches the theme perfectly.

Another freaking scrappy challenge and scrap the boys.

Another freaking scrappy challenge  wants us to use an old paper.
I've used 2 plus some scraps from others.
The tartan paper is an old Kaisercraft paper, not sure of the brand of the others.

And Scrap the boys has this sketch

Using stickers, enamel dots, alphas and the arrow from my Counterfeit kit I've come up with this layout.

City Crafter

City Crafter challenge has a 2 colours only challenge.

In my Counterfeit kit was a green and red bracket paper from Fancy Pants. I mounted it on green card and found 2 photos featuring a cormorant displaying its wings.
I set myself the task of scrapping the whole page in red and green. (I hope I'm permitted white spots!)
I punched a border strip down the LHS and tied twine. I've matted my 2 photos differently to add variety in colour.

Challenge #1 Counterfeit Kit Challenges Retail Therapy.

12th July: Challenge #1

Retail Therapy

The various tags in this month’s inspiration kit brings to mind going shopping. For this challenge, tell about your favorite form of retail therapy. What do you enjoy purchasing? What are your favorite stores? Or, if you do not enjoy shopping, tell about that too!
*************************************************************************************
I've decided to go with something my daughter is famous for....she buys cute shaped earrings on ebay.
Many of them are miniature food items such as hamburgers, apples, donuts or tiny Barbie shoes etc.
My photo on this layout shows her ring stand which is overflowing.

I've used the B side of one of my kit papers plus some torn vellum.

Scrapping Outback

These are the colours that we are to use at Scrapping Outback plus white and chipboard.
Instead of using white cardstock I found this Kaisercraft paper from the Pop! Collection. It was festive and went with my theme of retirement. This layout is celebrating retirement.

The chipboard is a gift shape which came in a kit I have. Don't know the brand, sorry. I inked it in blue. The frame, enamel dots and the goodbye tension paintchip I made were all in this month's Counterfeit Kit.

Challenge YOUrself

At Challenge Yourself there is this criteria.

This is no challenge because I always write my own journaling.

I'm happy with this layout because I used 4 photos in a sequence.
It used all Counterfeit Kit items and how clever was I to include tickets and a tag featuring a timetable in my kit? It was on the flip side of a red floral tag.

Anyway, here's my layout.

Use your stuff

At Use your stuff there is a magical muse challenge. We are asked to be inspired by music and Disney.
Luckily I took my daughter to Disneyland when she was 11.(20 years ago)
Kylie Minogue's song "I'm spinning around" describes the teacup ride perfectly.
The red frame continues along the bottom ,it was cut off in the scanner.

Also advertising an upcoming scrap at Sketch and scrap. We'd love to see you there!

Scrap our stash

This layout is for Scrap our stash where there is a tic tac toe.

Yesterday when I found the photos for the animal layout, I also came across 2 monkey pictures.
As I have a 2 Crafty chipboard monkey,it was the perfect start for this layout.

I've decided to go down the left hand side...number, chipboard and striped paper.
I started with the B side of one of my CK papers which has small white, blue and red stripes. I tied a strip of twine around a vertical yellow piece then attached the chipboard monkey.(Misted with gold).
I also used brown liquid pearls to define the monkey's tummy and ears.
There is animal washi tape to highlight plus Wild Asparagus alphas and a "Let's party" sign.Lastly I added 3 remaining resin rhinestones I had.

123 challenge

Here's the sketch for 123 challenge, plus they want us to use blue, pink and silver. and the words happy and time. In the last case I incorporated those in my journaling.

The background paper from Making Memories plus the pink buttons are from my Counterfeit kit.

Aunty Pat at Mystical

My first layout using my Counterfeit kit is using the October Afternoon paper Root beer barrels from 5 and Dime collection.
I hope someone adds this to Pinterest, because I could find NO layouts using this side with the circles. (I'm a pioneer!)
I'm entering in Mystical scrapbooks tic tac toe challenge and going across the centre row. Featuring banner, string and circles.

Tuesday Taggers and Li'l red wagon

I'm starting this month with 2 cards.
https://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com.au/ wants letters or numbers or both.
I misted with yellow then put random letters and finished top and bottom with washi tape that features mathematical formulae.

Next at Li'l red wagon they want three of something.
I've used 3 washi tapes on this card.

And finally just showing you that I do other crafts, I'm making felt animals for upcoming stall.

JULY Counterfeit kit

The July kit is based on Walden Pond by Cocoa Daisy.
https://www.cocoadaisy.com/product/walden-pond-2016-scrapbook-kit/

That is one bright kit!
I've gone more subdued and tried to match the designs on the papers, instead of the colours.
(photo taken mid winter on a cloudy day)

Using papers I have already:-
Starting top left:
  • I left out the first paper
  • Big circles paper I used October Afternoon 5 and Dime Root beer barrels Image result for October Afternoon 5 and dime

  • The floral pink paper I used October afternoon Five and dime Butterscotch Image result for October Afternoon 5 and dime
  • A sky blue and white pinstriped paper

Embellishments
I was able to find Several shaped stamps from Kaisercraft which I will use.
Add to that pink/red buttons, bird stickers, mini houses, a yellow feather, pink & white twine plus green & white twine and 2 lots of washi tape.
There are also tags saying "oh snap", "take note" Let's eat cake", plus round ones and because there were goldfish in one of the smaller add on kits I've added these chipboard fish.
