a princess walks by

In tidying out my scrapping stash I've discovered I have TOO MUCH CHIPBOARD! What a terrible fate.LOL.So today I used my 2nd last Twiddlybits item, the fence with the arched centre.I saw a similar layout on "Get Picky" and it inspired this layout. As well as the TB gate and fence I used a variety of flowers including the centre pink one from D-Lish designs and a gorgeous bird sent to me by crafty secrets for a prize.

The lettering had to have 2 different coloured ss because it only gave one of each letter.Annabelle looked cute in this photo.

Aussie Scrapjacked of Vicki

Here's my scrapjack of Vicki's layout this month called "Precious Valentine"

My layout is called "Whiteboard playing" and mimics Vicki's layout almost exactly. I needed extra flags on my pennant to balance the layout and I reversed the order of the 2 words in the heading as "Whiteboard" was the longer word. There is a shadow on the scan as the bubble embellishment lifted that area while scanning.

1 2 3 August challenge

The combo for August is What, black and multiphotos.

I chose to make a list of all the important things my family gives me in this layout called "What my family means to me".I've used several tiny photos plus one slightly larger one.I've added an altered CD featuring black patterned paper with black beads spelling family and black fibres.

A FS2S extra challenge birthday layout.

I used a scrap of material that was navy/white gingham with lace overlay, plus a ricrac strip and machine stitched it to the card. Then, I misted a segment of a lace doiley with red.I used 3 punchies negatives which I cut circles around and a little girl picture from a magazine.Next I added ribbon plus a half flower made from navy ribbon and a DCWV tag with the number 6 on it.To me, the slope on the right top is offset by the umbrella.

hoo can resist on Stuck?!

I've had this kaisercraft owl paper for ages then saw the owl pendant in a throw out bin at Spotlight.I added pearls to the eyes on it and the paper owl.I cut around the tree and mounted it with magic mount to make it 3d.The scrapmatts flourishes provided the corner decoration around the owl.
The place in the photo was Rodini park in Rhodes Greece and was so cool and welcoming on a super hot day.

Crafty

I made this for Scrapbooking from scratch's puzzle challenge using Cosmo Cricket papers,The paper loft "Cosmic" lettering and Kaisercraft "Hippie Chick" rubons. As the challenge involved fitting 3 squares,6 circles,3 strips and 2 stars it took a bit of thinking.I'm quite happy with how it turned out.Looking at these 2 photos made me envious of how talented some crafters are.

FS2S extra challenge

Here's my entry for FS2S 's extra challenge featuring a green roof, sand and green paint.
I took this photo of an old house in Goulburn, then created a picture. I painted the trees and flower stems, adding Prima flowers to finish them off.The sand printed paper was from Lincraft and reminded me of the parched earth during the drought.I scalloped around the trim and top of the green patterned paper. The chipboard is scrapmatts.

Louvre Favourites

I made this layout by starting with tissue paper and mod podge.I scrunched it up,smoothed it out then adhered. Then I matted it with co-ordinating card and added lace and flowers to match. The scrapmats heart spray was painted white then the hearts inked in hot pink. The paper in the top right corner has been misted and then had the journalling shield added. These 2 paintings are by Monet.

A weekend in Canberra

Last weekend I went to CAnberra to the quilt and craft show where I saw this amazing cash register covered in bling and wonderful quilt. My daughter and I had a great catch up while browsing. The hot air balloons appeared early on Sunday morning over Lake Ginanderra which can be seen from Erica's house.

Kraft it up August sketch challenge

This month there were 4 smaller photos involved plus other decorative shapes.

I used the background from the 2 sheets of sticker shapes and misted the background in blue to match the water in the photos. Then I placed the photos and shapes as per the sketch.I finished it off with prima flowers and lots of dots from the jillybean soup letters.

Another challenge at FS2S using scrapmatts

Cosmo cricket's beautiful papers inspired this whole layout.I had my first try at the cutting slits and folding back technique which became more complicated as I added the scrapmatts ornate frame over the top. I backed it with a co-ordinating red paper. The layout called for a close up(Erica eating an Italian gelato-our first of many) and a cluster of flowers.I just happened to have a variety of red turquoise and white flowers plus the scrapmatts clock face.

Would you believe this is my first real flower cluster?..I think I achieved the look. The lettering is Pink Paislee.

White with one and purple

I made this collage page to celebrate all the purple things that I love.It started with a photo of lilacs. Then I added various other things/tags/brads/flowers and even some rhinestones to cluster around the photo. I doodled a border around the edge of everything and hand drew the bird on the right hand side.It was fun doing this page for this month's white with one entry

Happy birthday Fs2s! and 4 extra challenges.

It was only a year ago I was on FS2S design team and celebrating their birthday and now it has rolled around again.I love this site as it always takes me "outside the square" so to speak with their unusual criteria. Today's effort had me trawling op shops for pink and frothy. I found some laces, so added them to this "Scrap within reach"-Avant Garde paper and voila my layout.

I sloped it down on the left on purpose then added the frothy flower.

From screen to scrap and the board members

Two old photos from my Rotaract days in the 70's.The challenge on FS2S was red and navy plus 2 tone heading and sheet music.Because the photos were a larger size I matted them in red and white to stand out.The title was white cardstock dry painted with residue red paint from another project,It is 2 tone but not in the normal sense.I cut the butterfly from scraps of music added bling for the body(pink rhinestones) then 2 red/white crochet circles like the camoflague spots on some butterflies.I kept it plain because the photos were a formal situation.

Anna's craft cupboard sketch challenge

I used the packaging from pink paislee letters as my backing mat(now that's using scraps!) and scrapmatts screen door and spiders which I inked with gel pens. The lettering is pink paislee and Prima, the paper is Birch and the ribbon is from my stash. This was my mother front row 2nd from left and grandparents back right with some other rellies.

Two wins and a card and black with 2

Wow, I don't look at the internet for a couple of days then suddenly I'm innundated with blog feeds. In amongst them I discovered I'd won 2 prizes on from screen to scrap for my layout featuring the sprayed lace and me feeding a deer, and on artastic for my "Celebrate your inner artist" layout. When I received 12 comments I knew something must eventuate!

My layout for Black with 2 this month features my 35th birthday photos.Erica of course, had to be in on the candle blowing out time and this pale green hand made paper matched her dress exactly.I hand cut the scallops around it and kept the layout fairly simple.

I've made this card for a Mystical challenge and for a friend's birthday. There is a cyber crop there this weekend.

August challenge 1 at stuck?1 sketches

The sketch at stuck sketches?! suited my purpose in A4 this time.I'm making a folder about my family and there were lots of little photos so I put them on this. I used black scrapmatts chipboard card borders and

cosmo cricket papers plus a few prima flowers and ribbon.
