The sketch at Case the sketch looks like this
I immediately thought butterflies.
Here's my card using Kaisercraft butterfly stickers.
Casual and simple.

Shopping our stash and others.
Over at Shopping our stash the challenge is to use numbers.
Left over numbers seem to breed in my craft room!
This particular set was from a Sara book set that I had several years ago.
The sentiment and flower tabs are a Kaisercraft strip.
My card is a strange size to fit an envelope I had here...21cmx8cm.

Also entering it on Cute card Thursday
Next I have in the pink challenge where we are asked to "make it sparkle"
This card is normal squared size and features 3 sparkly butterflies and some vellum which I tore along the bottom for extra interest.

Mod squad challenges and others
At Mod Squad challenges they ask us to use a pet or animal on our card.
I've chosen a squirrel.
My sentiment is hand written for a personal touch.
I'm also including this on Cardz4guyz where they want a furry friend.

Paper Players & Lawnscaping
http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com.au/ theme this week is something sweet.
I'm still making Father's Day cards so here's a bottle of champagne for POP.
There's a pun there!
I've used a metal bottle cap as part of my sentiment.

Our Beautiful world & retro sketches
The theme at Our beautiful world is summer.
Here is a blast from the past ... my very first day at the beach. I'm the little one with the spade.

And at Retro Sketches this is their sketch
I've chosen to make another fathers day card.
Note the pinking sheared edges on the embossed crocodile tag.
Home and scrapped
This is a sketch challenge for home and scrapped which is a facebook page I'm part of.
The sketch appealed to me because I have polkadot papers which match perfectly.
I made some felt and hessian hearts as my embellishments across the page.
The chipboard bicycle from 2 Crafty has been inked with pinecone.

Cardz4Guyz and Alphabet challenge
My first card is at Cardz4guyz where they want us to focus on the words.
My cork centrepiece saying "Be passionately curious" is from a previous Counterfeit Kit.
It is fitting for this challenge and will probably be given to my great nephew who is very intelligent.
Next my card is for Alphabet challenges where it is M for Mythical.
This flying godess figure was in my scrap paper box so I used her on a motivational card.

The scanner strobed on the words. They aren't like that it real life.
I tried re scanning but it keeps doing it!Next my card is for Alphabet challenges where it is M for Mythical.

Mystical Scrapbooking
I had a dilemma here.
My August Counterfeit kit is finished and I had my September kit with me at the crop day yesterday............so I've started using it.(Shhh, don't tell the CKC people)
Donna had a sketch challenge on Mystical Scrapbooks which I've used for this layout.
I flipped it to the opposite side.
It features a German flair button EINFACH GENIESSEN means just enjoy.
It was given to me by Master Forger Lisa.
It is appropriate for this layout.

Li'l red wagon & Sketchy Saturday
One of the cards I made yesterday featured a shark.
It is intended as a Fathers day card and as our local football team is the "sharks", I know it will be popular.
I've made it a funny card by putting "smile" as my sentiment.
Hope you like it at Li'l red wagon

And at Sketch Saturday
A friend in Canada has just had a baby girl.(I hope she isn't reading this!)
I've made a card in soft pastels to welcome her new baby.
Instead of a ribbon right through the picture, I've used pearls around the outside.
Crop day and 30 cards made!
Yesterday I attended a crop day at "All about scrapbooking."
It was a 9am-9pm marathon. Over the course of the day between talking and eating, I managed 30 cards.
I'm not boring you with the whole 30 :)
My first is for Jingle belles where they want a red card.
There is a strip of black which hopefully still qualifies it.

My next is for ABC Christmas challenges where they wanted a quick card.
This one took around 5 minutes to create.
Christmas sweet stamps wanted snowmen.
I searched my stamps and papers and this was the only snowmen I could find.

Paper play challenges #013
Here's the sketch at Paper play challenges.
I'm currently replenishing my get well cards so I made this one in pink.
The bracket shape has been around my desk for ages and the pink fabric heart just matched it perfectly.

Hiding in my craftroom & Seize the birthday
That is exactly what I'm doing today, Hiding in my craftroom, trying to finish off bits and pieces.
I've made a card for their current theme, Buttons and Bows.
I started by making the word birthday using left over scrabble alphas.
The U became an A.
Next, I glued random blue buttons underneath and followed up with a silver bow.
I'm also entering it on Seize the Birthday where anything goes.

Let's get sketchy Week 1.
I'm working my way through the August "Let's get sketchy challenges"
This is Week One.
And my interpretation.
I started with yellow misting through a Studio Calico mask.
Next I layered several sheets of paper and a bottom strip as well.
I stamped a large flower with white paint and mounted it with foam tape.
I've used sequins on this layout.(Messy stuff that craft glue).
My title is a transparency that says "full of happiness".
I don't look too happy because the sun was in my eyes so I was squinting, but the Rhine gorge was stunning.

Shopping our stash and Cards in Envy
At Shopping our stash this week they are asking for word dies.
I have some cute "Cedar Lane" diecut transparencies and have used one on this floral card.
Last week I left a box of thank you cards at the local community centre and they all sold!
Now I'm starting again to refill the box.

At Cards in Envy we are asked to use squares.
I followed the lead of one of the DT and used layered squares and distressing.

Let's get sketchy August week 2
Here is the sketch.
This gave me the opportunity to use some of those strips that are cut off the bottom of papers.
I keep a long basket just for them.
First, I've used 2 travel themed strips top and bottom.
The shorter ones I've co-ordinated with the colours in the photo. Note the musical one!
There is also a fine gold thread. The 3 small heart are gold too.
In the bottom right corner I have put a date chipboard piece in black.
(Thought of it after I took the photo)

More than words challenge
At More than words challenge they want friends and circles.
As it is a mixed media site and I was extremely inspired by several of the DT work,I decided to join in.
I started with white gesso through a mask of tiny circles(dots).
Next I misted with blue and gold (It looks brown but that's ok).
I stamped using a bakers stamp I bought at Typo. "Hi there".
The 2 ladies from Arizona that we met on the trip said this quite often so that is a memory recorded right there.
I dipped 2 different lids in black ink and stamped random circles with those.
Next I collected random circle embellishments from this month's kit.
The keyhole has circular brads too!
We ate rich foods on our cruise, so the cream ad was appropriate
We are even sitting at a round table in the photo.
I finished off with some enamel dots.

Creative Moments card
Creative moments is a challenge site that I haven't visited before.
Their challenge this time is Anything goes with circles
I've made a card using an old picture from a child's story book and the sentiment, "Fabulous!"
There are polka dots as well as a circular patterned background.

Stick it down card
This is the card sketch at Stick it Down.
I've used the remaining keys and locks plus some twine to make a card for a fiftieth birthday (MAN).
The lettering is starting to run out so this may be my last word in correct capitals/small ratio for my kit.

To illustrate that point, here's a second card I made using a mixture of lettering and left over echo park stickers. It will go into the get well box.

Scchonbrunn Palace layouts
Now for 2 layouts of Schonbruun Palace(there will be more)
Here's the info if you want to investigate.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sch%C3%B6nbrunn_Palace
I've saved this ornate kraft & black paper until last, as I had a specific idea in mind.
The large picture was from the carry bag at the gift shop. I fussy cut around it and pasted it on the layout.
The row of diamentes across the bottom is from Prima.(slightly cut off in the scanner)
The 2 photos show the front and back views of the palace.(Humble little place isn't it?)
I've kept the layout simple so that the photos tell the story.
I then completed a second layout featuring the main fountain and gloriette
(That's the archways thingy behind the fountain!)
On this one I've used the large wood veneer door inked gold.
There is also a journaling card listing what we saw.
I've made a gathered flower from antique lace & lightly tinted yellow in places with mist.
You'll notice there is no title .
I intend to make a separate page for the title as there are many more photos.

Shopping our stash and crazy4challenges
The challenge at shopping our stash is to use playing cards.
I've used a king on this card as I'm busy making Fathers Day cards.
There are also 2 p/l cards from my Counterfeit Kit.

And at Crazy4challenges they are celebrating the Olympics.
We are asked to do a sporty card.
I won another challenge and was sent some Paper House basketball die cuts and a "Game on" die cut.
I've used them on this card.
Hope you like it!
