Colour challenge #2 at Counterfeit Kits.

If you want to find out about Varanasi check out here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varanasi

Part of the challenge was to change the colour of something on your layout.
I did some colour manipulation of a photo, taken by a friend, making it more orange.

I've also tried a new technique I read about in Scrapbook Creations magazine.
It was printing "roses" with celery ends.

As I only had half a bunch, they became decorations around the edge of my layout, but they add some interest.
I've used a chevron bag to hold my journaling and misted behind my photo to give more colour. Knowing that Indians love bright colours, I used gold printed papers as well.
The elephant fitted the topic well and as Varanasi is known as the city of the dead I could even include the headstone from my Tattered inspiration pack.
I'm happy with this layout as I was able to pull together many items from my CK.

Only one more whole sheet of patterned paper to go now and my kit is used. That's a first!

Great job with the "celery" stamping. The vivid colors are very pretty on this page. And fantastic using up your kit!
