Cupcakes at Lollipop ladies

I went very bright for this cupcake card, which is for Lollipop ladies this time.I've used 1 lot of glitter on the icing.2 paper doileys and 3 ribbon strips.Don't you love the tiny cupcakes on that ribbon? It is so sweet. The actual chipboard cupcake is from Scrapmatts. I painted the patty pan blue then used metallic paint in stripes to form the pleated effect. The cake section and white icing were inked. The background paper reminds me of rainbow sprinkles, often found on cupcakes and the 2 word stickers go with the whole idea.

Bird is the word in colour

Here is a layout featuring the word "colour" for Bird is the word.I saw this wonderfully coloured cow at Floriade and knew a layout would follow. This was a fun layout to do as there were no restrictions to colour choices.

let's capture these

I've discovered a new sketch site named Let's capture these. Each Saturday a new sketch is given. The above layout entitled "Love pink" featuring my sister Merryn and my daughter,Erica at about aged 2.5.She was a pinkaholic! Everytime I dressed her there had to be pink on her somewhere.I celebrated this fact on this layout. I've used a kit bought from SFS featuring Bella Boulevard papers "Sunny Happy Skies".I've added some cast off frills from a hem of a dress, then hand stitching,in pink of course.Final touches are a pink button and butterfly.

Visiting Pro Hart at Artastic

This month's challenge at Artastic was using Pro Hart's dragonfly painting. It just so happened I visited Broken Hill last year and saw the original. I've used 2 photos on my layout. One of me at the gallery and the other of the dragonfly painting(behind glass) at B.H. airport. Our extra criteria was to use insects. The background paper features butterflies and I've added 3 Scrapmatts butterflies(inked in black) with rhinestones on their wings.I've also added some dragonflies brads and finished with side ribbon featuring ladybirds

Gina and me just for fun.

I purchased a "hometown" kit from Scrapbooking from scratch recently and had used some of it to create earlier layouts,Fancy that & Frizzy Chic. There were some papers and ribbon left over so decided to do this layout featuring my cousin's daughter,Gina and myself when I was around 6 months pregnant with Erica.I love the old fashioned look of these colours.

Stuck sketch 2

Still doing pages for my Cook Islands album 8x8.I used Stuck's 2nd sketch for June as the basis for this layout. The original features butterflies, but they don't match the topic, so I've used a chipboard shape from A2Z scraplets(won as a prize).I've used a silver starfish plus a blue tiny star as my embellishments and paper tearing to continue the idea of waves in the photo.

Fancy that at Fancy that

The sketch at fancy that scrapbooking prompted me to use these photos of Mum going to 2 different Fancy Dress Balls in the 1930s.I printed them in Sepia to get the old worlde effect. The hometown kit from SFS was ideal for this as the background drsssmaking paper goes with the fact that Mum made these outfits.I've used a dress form from Twiddlybits which I backed in cream and added a pink heart pin through the centre. The pennant was made using shiny specialty paper put through the cuttlebug swiss dots plate and I've used yellow brads for continuity.

Princess Erica at Aussiescrapjacked

I've chosen to scrapjack Dana's layout .I've used colours which Erica likes plus 2 photos of her taken about 10 years apart. My aeroplane has stamped ink in the centre so I left the pink outline around it.Unfortunately I had ink on my hand which then smudged on my layout, right at the end.

White with one and pale blue

On White with one this month they've asked for pale blue and flags. I've used 2 flags from a birthday "Soiree" pack I received as a prize a while ago. The layout features 3 scrapmatts chipboards The title "Life" and the autumn leaves I have left raw and the captain's wheel is painted pale blue.I've also added some blue Francheville brads plus a metal charm. The photo is of Mandraki harbour in Rhodes Greece and that is me under the reindeer statue. It is where all the millionaires pull up their yachts.

Jelly babies at Lollipop Ladies

I made this card using 3 different mists, plus 2 colourful ribbons and a rub on and die cut.The theme was jelly babies so I used as many fruity colours as was possible.

Change at Bird is the word

I made this layout a couple of years ago after returning from Europe. As we travelled the whole way using trains,it became common to hear announcements saying "change trains".I've used our Britrail passes as part of the layout plus photos of 3 different stations we visited.

And another diamond jubilee one on same paper!

This one was done for a challenge on Soul Scrappers but I want it here as well.We had to use banners, buttons and twine. To celebrate the Diamond JUbilee there can be no better paper and colour scheme.

Dancing at Anna's

Another wonderful sketch from Wendy Smith inspired me to do the layout for Anna's craft cupboard. I've used Scrapmatts Music score(left raw) plus a paper doiley and corrugated card as part of my composition. The red felt flower I made myself and the puppy button and blue and white flower came from the "chip chop shop".Finally the rubons are Kaisercraft "Shaken not stirred" which goes with the theme doesn't it? I must have been channelling the Queen's diamond jubilee with red(pink) white and blue and diamonds!!

Kraft it up cooking

Kraft it up's challenges are always fun. I certainly had some with this one.I've used cream patterned paper as I ran out of Kraft and couldn't buy any locally. I started by misting over some scrapmatts shapes of saucepans, frypans etc, using both yellow and red. Then I've pasted other scrapmatts chipboard, which were painted with pink metallic paint then put through the cuttlebug, than rubbed over with pinecone ink to "Age" them. Next there was an old postcard of a boy cutting a turkey so I cut around it and tucked it under my photos.Other embellishments have been added plus 3 different alphas as requested. My photos are dark as they were taken on Saturday when it was cloudy and rainy.
