April Counterfeit kit

A warm welcome to our Guest DT, Louise
The kit we are asked to counterfeit is
http://cestmagnifiquekits.blogspot.com.au/2016/01/cest-magnifique-february-kit-reveal.html

With these add-on kits
Papers

Mixed Media

Flowers

                                                           *******************
Starting in the usual way I made a list.
butterflies
floral
black & white
lace
pale pink and white spot
steampunk lady (Victorian)
red and black ribbon
small green alphas
flowers
hessian
gold doiley
pink mist
yellow cotton

Here is what I've come up with. It is true to the original as I could get.

VINTAGE BUTTERFLY

I've taken out some Butterfly papers from Graphic 45 ,from Websters, and Tim Holtz Kraft.
There is also a blossom paper from Graphic 45
(not hoarding these any more!!!)

I found other papers that matched pretty closely. My sticker sheet is from October Afternoon but has that vintage vibe.
I've added a 6x6 pad of Lucy & Roy which has floral, fine book print and pinks.
I may also use old book pages. I've found some yellow cotton too.
The gold doiley eludes me.

My embellishments
In the round tin are
cut out blue butterflies,
crochet doiley circles
flowers made from vintage lace with a button in the centre.
There are also 2 lots of paper flowers and fabric ones.
The flourish with a bling vines will surround those.
I've added ecru lace, red ribbon, small red & green alphas ,plus larger red alphas, wood veneer butterflies, butterfly stickers and vintage borders.
Next I'm adding these 2 sets of stamps
The left hand one contains a Victorian lady similar to the one from C'est Magnifique (bottom centre paper)

With mixed media I prefer to add as I create. I have mists, masks, other stamps, gesso in black and white even metals if I decide to use them.
Smaller elements such as buttons, keys, enamel dots, brads may also be called upon.

Now on to the blog hop
Enjoy your hopping and I hope it inspired you to join us.
We don't criticise (it isn't a contest) and we love seeing what you come up with.

Your kit turned out lovely! I think it is rather similar to mine actually :-) I wish I had remembered that Tim Holtz kraft butterfly paper-I have it, and I think it would work well with my kit, so I may have to add it in!

I love your list idea - I think I may need to do that this time since this kit is a little out of my comfort zone! Very lovely!

Those butterflies papers are just gorgeous! I like how you lightened up the color scheme of the inspiration and those pretty blue butterflies perfectly pick up the little touches of blue in that October Afternoon sticker sheet.

Like you I will add the MM as I feel I need it. Yours is super though and you can definitely see the influence of the original kit

I knew you would nail this one! Love the butterfly focus as it definitely lightens & brightens. Good on you for liberating those hoarded papers! I think I am going to have to mail you some gold doilies as this has come up before - email me your address. By the way I would buy your embellishment kit this month :D Scrap on, sista!

Your kit is really close to the original! I like the idea of writing a list of what you see in the original! And what cool embellishments. Can't wait to see your creations!

Only just getting around to comment now (hanging head in shame) but this is a gorgeous kit full of typical Julene elements. Lots of pretty and then more pretty for good measure. Great take on the inspiration!
