Crop day and a few layouts.

Time for a catch up. I went to a crop day on Saturday and managed a few layouts.

My first is a double layout for Stick it Down.

While I was away in Forster my friend and I had a silly sports day. It started with her husband showing me how to play golf. It turns out I can't.

This began a silly day inventing sports. We went for a walk and found poles along the wharf, so pole dancing. etc. She dared me to lay on the seat at the shopping centre and do planking. You can imagine the giggles!

Next was a white background and used a strip of coloured paper. I fussy cut out the flowers and added other natural elements such as butterflies and birds. There's also a Bramble Fox flair on here. The photos are from the same walk as the layout above.

Next I made a heritage layout featuring Forster hotel. I added washi tape plus antique lace. There's a big brad top of those.

Next, I wanted to use the remaining Storyteller paper from Cocoa Vanilla. The colours matched perfectly with 2 photos from my friend's 70th birthday party.

Now all I have left from that range are enamel dots and words.

Li'l Red wagon

I'm having a little break from layouts as I'm attending an all-day crop tomorrow.

Li'l red wagon wants a beach card this week.

I had 2 soft blue papers so used those as my background. The square of 4 pictures is from Darkroom Door and one picture reminded me of the bathing boxes at Brighton, Victoria.

(Wouldn't it be fun to own one of those!)

My card could be a Bon Voyage card for a beach holiday, or I guess a Birthday card for someone who lives on the beach.

Last week I was featured at li'l red wagon. Hooray!

The scraproom throwback sketch.

I used this sketch to create my next layout.

The green card on the right hand side is by Ruby Rock-it. and I have several sheets. In this case I used it for my journalling. The striped bracket also featured the green so it matched well enough to use.

The black rectangle is a label from back when chalkboard was popular in scrapbooking.I've had it quite a while.

2 more for Mystical

This layout is again for Mystical scrapbooking.

The challenge was to use 3 strips of paper, 2 butterflies and one chipboard piece. I painted the fish with Li'l Davis metallic paint in Sweet Pea. The 3 strips of plain pink paper are odd shapes, but they work on here.I cheated slightly with the 2 butterflies as the journal block already had them.

My next layout is also for Mystical and we had to use frames, small word strips and twine.

I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.

Mystical challenge Two

The first challenge I'm attempting is this one. 3 cluster groups, two word title and one whole piece of patterned paper.

This paper from Bella is glittery so I'm pleased to use it up. The large card top left is also another item I'm happy to have used.

I added chipboard buttons (sewn) plus a flair, a small frame and some brads.

Whale watching and using alphas.

I'm off and racing this month with my Counterfeit Kit.

At Mystical scrapbooks in June they were using up left over alphas so I started there. I used a red stripe paper and put small sticker alphas down each side until they were all used. Next I used a bright striped paper from my kit as the centre strip. There was a big journal card saying "today" so I added my title on it. I used a frame from my kit around the smaller photo and put the larger photo underneath.

We went whale watching from a cliff top looking out to see but unfortunately didn't spot anything, even with binoculars.

July Counterfeit kit reveal and blog hop.

This month's kit is Mercy Tiara kit named "Feeling Groovy"

Presenting my kit "Not so groovy"

Papers:

My papers are as close as I can get to those offered in the kit.
I had the green tropical leaves paper plus the brown with white dots.
Instead of cassettes I used cameras from American crafts.
My florals are different, but I can still use those, and the blue spotted, and chevrons need to be used.
I added a rainbow shaded paper and what I had left from the Cocoa Vanilla storyteller range.
I'll add cardstock as appropriate.

Embellishments: As usual I start with a list.

I've used a mixture of older items from my stash plus some new flairs and scraps which will match my papers. I included some larger journal cards as I have heaps of those.
 And here's some last-minute extras.

A big welcome to DawnLyn Litz our guest designer for July.
