Anniversary at Fab and Funky and layers at Li'l red wagon.

My next card is for Fab and Funky and Li'l red wagon (Layers)

I used a silver card background.

Next I added the patterned paper then another strip of matching paper across the bottom. Both have gold foiled sections.

Around the strip at the bottom I tied gold ribbon. (3 layers in total)

The panel behind the sentiment is a matching sticker then a white frame. I added the word "romance".(4 layers)

This is for a neighbour, who is celebrating her first wedding anniversary.

I just discovered I made top 3 at Li'l red wagon (hooray!)

ABC Christmas

I haven't been well the past few days. It's been a heavy head cold and cough, so hard to think straight.

I've made a card this morning for ABC Christmas

I've chosen M for music and gone with O holy night.

I used music paper as my background then added my die cut tree and sentiment. Around the tree are tiny white pearls which add a glow. I've also used washi tape across the bottom.

Lasting Memories holiday challenge.

We are asked to choose our favourite holiday of the year and scrapbook a page about it.

I chose Easter.

I was inspired by the journal card that said Yes No Maybe.

I used a photo of tiny Easter eggs in a bunny basket. I put them out for Easter celebrations but it is so tempting not to eat them. I also used pink vellum as one of my smaller papers., plus washi tape horizontally across the page. I mixed my alphas to make the Willpower stand out.

Lasting Memories Brand challenge.

I've used 2 papers on here from American Crafts Dear Lizzy range.

The wood veneer camera is also American crafts. I think they are my favourite brand recently as the have such pretty ideas.

One of the papers had different squares so I cut them separately and cut the jar out of one square.

I added sequins as extra bling on the layout.

The photo is from my end of school formal. Mum made me the dress and I thought I looked pretty swish.

My sister and husband were going to another ball the same night.

Li'l red wagon

At Li'l red wagon they want feminine cards.

Here's one I've made using floral paper plus butterflies with bling and a lace trim.

The male room

I've made a card using twine for The Male room.

It is for a fiftieth birthday and I threaded the key stickers through the twine.

Challenge #3 Counterfeit Kit challenge

We were asked to use this sketch.

I've totally used up my kit for June so was inspired by my photos.

As it was a sea and rock theme I used colours to match. I had map paper so used that as my semi circle to start it off. I chose a beige and pale blue paper for my other circles. I matted the 2 photos on the same blue paper.

For my centre piece I chose a 3rd photo of a beach near Cape Solander. I also fussy cut around stamps and maps and compasses which was on the other part of the map paper.

I'm happy with how this turned out.

Farmquest Farm machinery.

At Farmquest the challenge this time is farm machinery.

I've chosen a windmill.

These are iconic in Australia and are often seen on farms in the country. I put the sentiment on my card "From miles away ". I thought it was appropriate.

Li'l red wagon

I've used a library pocket featuring an old aeroplane on this male birthday card.

It could be used for putting a gift card in or a secret note from a grandchild etc.
I'm entering it at Li'l red wagon.

Creations in pink.

Today I have made a card for Creations in Pink. Creations in Pink.

A new blog challenge for me.  I have used a butterfly from my Counterfeit kit plus 3 lace daisies from my sister's wedding dress. (Gone long ago but we kept the lace)

It is a tall thin card and could be a birthday or congratulations type card.

Toot! This card won top 3.

Challenge #1 CKC

Create a layout featuring you enjoying another hobby than scrapbooking.

I'm scrapbooking my Vanuatu photos this month, so decided to look at MELE WATERFALL.
We climbed to the top through the tropical jungle to reach this waterfall (above)
It took over an hour !!!
Below the waterfall is a pool in the rocks.

It was beautiful and so refreshing after that climb.

My second hobby is of course photography. I have a box of around 200 photos from a 7 day holiday in Vanuatu.

I have made this layout and as you can see I'm in the photo

I used flamingo paper (found after the introduction of my kit). I added strips to match the pink and in keeping with the tropical paper. I cut a circle for my title to stand out and used a co-ordinating journal card.
My photos were taken using panorama setting so I could get the vertical extent of the waterfall.

Sketches in Thyme.

This was the first sketch for June at Sketches in Thyme

While still working on 8x8 I managed this layout. I'm so pleased to use some punched flowers that I make from scraps.

More 8x8 layouts

Here's some more of my 8x8 layouts. I'm cracking through them this month to fill the album.

This first one is for the summer challenge at The Scraproom.

Summer-sandpiper, uniball pen, mini alphas, mollusc, edging, ribbon.

This one was just for myself, but I managed to match the starfish sticker to the table decoration.

Here are 4 more.

First 5 8x8 layouts CKC

As stated in the kit reveal I'm working on an 8x8 album this month.

Here's the pages I have done so far. They come together quickly.

I've used some of the new flairs I got from Mystical scrapbooking.
In the last one I made a jar of shells using the stickers in my kit.

June Counterfeit Kit blog hop and reveal

Our kit this month is from Laura, who has chosen Vintage Artistry Sunburst - 49 and Market

It has a tropical flavour so I went with that idea.

Presenting Moderately tropical

I'm working on an 8x8 album using my Vanuatu photos

My kit isn't too big this month, but I added what I have in that theme= moderate.
First my papers

I marched the colours, as well as patterns where I could. There is a pineapple and a flamingo paper.
The blue one top right says "on the lake" so has the water theme.
There's 2 older Basic Grey papers in there, plus the cut apart with a sunshine theme.
12 papers in total.

My embellishments

There's a 6x6 kaisercraft pad of watery themed papers plus sone scraps featuring thongs (flip flops), pineapples and yellow flowers. I added 2 cards referring to heat wave. Also a few ribbons I'm trying to use, a jolee fish themed pack and some clear stickers with a beach theme.
I added a St Tropez note cards pad, a large water drop card and some butterflies.
I will be using the same alphas as last month.

Also, these which just arrived in the post.

A big welcome to our guest designer, Mel Walkden

Now here's the order of the blog hop

We hope you have fun scrapping this month. It's winter here so good scrapping weather.

Alphabet challenge and cArdz 4 Galz

At Alphabet challenge Alphabet challenge they want embossing.

I put my background of this card through the cuttlebug to get the texture.

The flower is stamped then cut out.  Hope you like it!

**************************************************************************

The theme at  Cardz 4 Galz is heels and handbags.

I've made this card containing both.
