Kraft + challenge

As you can see the challenge at Kraft plus this month is to use houndstooth, plus the sketch.
Luckily I had a strip of houndstooth patterned paper.

I started by using black gesso through an old lace plastic doiley.
This formed the vertical background.
Next I stamped using black ink and a memories stamp randomly.

The photos are from proofs of an old photo shoot we did.
I've chosen the complimentary colours of yellow and purple on this so there are yellow buttons(and a gold arrow) plus purple butterflies and flower.
The scrolls and dots that appear black are actually silver.
It is quite a pretty layout in real life.

This is pretty in the photo, too!
Love that you got in some mixed media & stamping.
I have the perfect b/w houndstooth tissue paper for this challenge...

Fun page, I like that you separated the one photo, it adds lots of interest.

Gorgeous, gorgeous take on the sketch....& that doily stenciling....really like the slightly 'edgy' look it gives to your page. It was fun trying to find some houndstooth, I reckon! Amazing what is hidden away. And now it's used!! Great stash busting challenge, this one - thanks so much for joining in:):)!!
