Stick it down

I'm starting the month with a sketch challenge. This one at Stick it down appealed to me.
The background paper is one of my counterfeits from my October kit.
I've also used an atlas map of Europe.
On the atlas part I stitched an arrow pointing to Budapest.

Here's my layout.

First layout for October.

This photo didn't go with the September Counterfeit Kit so I saved it for this month.
When I met Lisa in Cologne it was a special day.
I'd been looking forward to it since we booked our European trip.
I wore bright pink, she wore orange...my thought was "This will make it hard to scrap" LOL.
Choosing a blue paper was one way to go.
I've layered several elements from my kit as well as misting the background paper.
The P/L cards were appropriate for this too.

October Counterfeit kit

Here is the Indigo Hills kit for this month that we are asked to counterfeit.







I haven't reproduced all the images. There are also floral washi tapes, heart shaped stickers, larger stickers and navy alphas plus speckled alphas.

My kit is a mix of real papers plus counterfeits.
I named it Mum's kitchen as it is mainly blue and yellow.
This was the colours of my Mum's kitchen in the 1960s.

First here are my papers
(Yes you do see a dinosaur!)

Next my embellishments.
I've included some drops of red in there to complete the Primary colour trio.
There are flower punchies in all 3 colours. Cork geotags,wood veneers, washi tapes in blue, gold and black plus a red floral one.

 

 

My alphas are some TYPO grey and white mottled chipboard letters, some red Grant Archival punch out letters and some coloured thickers.
I had no white alphas that I can spatter, nor could I find blue alphas.

Scrapping4fun and Cardz4guyz

http://scrapping4funchallenges.blogspot.com.au/ wants autumn colours on a card and so does Cardz4guyz.
I've made a double tag and used stamping plus a flower.(Yes,men like flowers too!)
Around the edge of my card I used dotta-riffic pen to make it vibrant.

Shopping our stash.

I'm quietly sitting here making cards today as yesterday I was diagnosed with pneumonia.
I've been told to rest.
Craft lowers my blood pressure and relaxes me, so here I am.
Over at http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com.au/ they want fairies or angels.
After searching high and low I found one angel picture.
I made this card using her.

Looks like I'm just scraping in at Shopping our stash as there is only an hour to go.

Jingle Belles and Use your suff

The challenge at Jingle Belles is to use a bell on your Christmas Card.
I had none, so I made one.
I cut out the shape from fawn cardstock then misted it with Kaiser antique gold mist.
As a finishing touch, I've  drawn lines around the base of the bell with gold gel pen.
It is mounted on a silver card with a matching gold star patterned paper .

 

Meanwhile at Use your stuff they have a moodboard

I've made a card on silver again but used black,white and yellow.

I was inspired by the polkadots and the yellow flowers.

 

 

This can work as a friendly catch up card or even a sympathy card.
