Graphic 45 joke.

I've decided to do a set of layouts based around a humorous joke I have, about stupid things parents say.
Here's the first one named Foresight...and the little sentence in the frame says "Wear clean underwear in case you get run over!"These Graphic 45 papers were ideal.(I wasn't going to use a photo of my underwear.)I used some of my huge stock of flowers including a lace one that I made.

Artastic and orange (erk!)

If there's one colour I don't like it is orange. But I forced myself to do this challenge for Artastic because I liked the criteria.

I used my new cuttlebug to do 2 of the background papers. The spotted one is scenic route.Melody's dress was pinky orange and I happened to find this lace scrap at Vinnies which matches exactly.

When it came to stitching the layout on my scanner,George's face was blurry despite me trying several times. They are a good looking family.

Kraft it up

This month's Kraft it up called for non patterned paper.I started with the large envelope and a packet of rubons. They suited these 2 photos.

I've recently bought a cuttlebug so used it to make the background paper then found some dictionary pages and monopoly money, which again suited the photos.I finished with scrapmatts signpost(inked with pinecone and distress ink called old paper). The big ric-rac added the horizontal line to bind it all together.

My parents met at Patonga where there were several houses of young people congregated for a long weekend.Patonga had no theatre, dance hall or pub so they made their own fun.Invariably, a keg of beer was involved. They weren't drinking to excess!

Lollipop ladies-Ribbon

This is a layout I did quite a while ago but features my use of ribbons. There are 3 flowers made from ribbons plus a whole row of ribbon tags down the side.It took ages but was great fun to do.

Black with two

Black with two for this fortnight required multiple photos and metallic gold.I immediately thought of my wedding proofs which were just the right size for this scrapmatts filmstrip.

I used patchwork with gold patterned paper sloping it slightly to counterbalance the filmstrip chipboard.I added gold ribbon, heart shaped brads ,a quote and subtle heading of thickers.

White with one

This is my entry for White with one this month.I cut most of my papers on my scalloped edge trimmer then added some orange gauze,3 handmade flowers and 2 sizes of pompon braid. These 3 kids are always happy when I see them.

Steampunk number 2

We saw this amazing stained glass window in the museum of decorative arts in Paris. This layout started with the cogs.I masked then misted them. After that I used several cogs of varying sizes to represent machinery in action. At this point I started to think Steampunk, so downloaded pictures of the hot air balloon, found the lock and key stamp and the Kaisercraft clockpaper.I added the rub on title and stamp using an old postcard, which I inked with distress ink(Black soot)Then added the hinge and brads and the journalling words.I'm pleased with this one...it took quite a few days to assemble. All chipboard is scrapmatts
