Scrapping Clearly

The sketch challenge at Scrapping Clearly is this

I've decided to revisit my Europe photos as the door paper from Kaisercraft's Blue Bay collection was asking to be used.

I've chosen a rather famous door. It is of the south door of the Baptistery in Florence.
Here is information about the doors in the photo http://www.mega.it/eng/egui/monu/bo.htm
(Mind you, a can of Brasso and some good polishing would improve the door......I digress.)

I fussy cut around the door paper and used it as my vertical. The reverse side is the dark grey on the horizontal.
I painted the Kaisercraft wooden door with 2 coats of acrylic paint.
When I placed it on the layout it looked too white.
I lightly wiped "Inca gold" in copper over it with a cotton wool ball.
This gave it that distressed wood appearance.
The scallop edge trimmings in the lower door are Ruby-Rock-it.
The feather, enamel dots, buckle and ribbon, plus the punched leaves are all from my Counterfeit Kit, so are the door and papers.

Again, angles are my problem. My layout IS STRAIGHT!
The door is straight on the paper. The printed doors are sloping slightly and my photo also slopes. Sorry if you feel you are running down hill. :)
