A Crafty Sketches disaster

This layout was a disaster to do,in more ways than one!
First of all I placed the great war paper on the background crooked, tried to remove it and it tore. What is left is all I have. Then the bottom photo of me also tore when I tried to re-mat it.I covered it up with ribbon.Under the tissue paper flower is another mistake. My sewing machine refuses to work, so I had to rule the inside box instead of sewing it.My heading was so big it covers Simpson's face. The only thing that went according to plan was my journalling.

Nevertheless I guess I'm reasonably happy with the finished result.I rediscovered these Kaisercraft brads in the back of my stash.Perfect colour.
I think it is good to admit that things don't go smoothly all the time!
My great uncle was at Gallipoli which is why I was researching WW1.

Don't you hate it when all your craftiness turns against you. Well at lest you turned out something that you are reasonably happy with and if you hadn't told us about the mistakes we would never have know. Hope you have a great day. Looks like we are indoors again as it is bucketing down with rain (again)
