Afternoon tea at Scrap our stash

My next layout is part of

I was inspired by this layout and used a photo from my trip to Parkes.

I visited the Radio Telescope (or The Dish) which helped with the moon landing in 1969.

As I'm a 1950s baby, this had a big impact on me.

I like the eclectic gathering of items on Terri's layout. So, using my kit, I produced the following.

My favourite scrapbooking product I've been hoarding is the wood veneer square quote "Coffee and friends are the perfect blend ".

Paper Issues Trend tournament

The first challenge at Paper Issues this month is either a repeated title or half shapes.

I've chosen half shapes and used my sunray mask at one edge of the cardstock. I used yellow paint then adhered my photos. The cardstock is embossed so I inked over the hearts with "old paper" distress ink. This gave my layout more depth.

I also added a banner I had plus 2 simple stories life in colour brads and some darkroom door brads.
My title is using 2 different alphas (out of necessity).

September Counterfeit Kit.

Our kit this month is based around a digital kit named Wildflowers by Traci Reed

I immediately noticed Blue, yellow and green. So that's where I started.

My whole kit is SPRING HAS SPRUNG and it looks like this.

With spring coming I added butterflies, flowers, birds,,feather, doiley, plus several random words that relate. I even added bling (pearls!)

PAPERS

The patterns on each are nothing like the originals, but the colours are as close as I can get.

I've also randomly added several sheets of this checked vellum.

I might use it (who knows??) I'm thinking matting mainly.

Then I added stamps plus a bag of butterflies I just uncovered.

and a close up of the word stamps...all positive thoughts!

Also a last minute addition is 2 packets of brads
(specific idea in mind for these)

I'm looking forward to this kit. Our weather is warmer ,birds are nesting and flowers are blooming here in Australia. It looks like Spring has sprung!

A big welcome to our Guest Designer, Christine.

Here's the order of the blog hop:

Alphabet challenge and The paper players

The Alphabet challenge wants us to use Kraft as a card.

I started with a square card then misted through a stencil, making a brick wall. Next I painted a chipboard bicycle with yellow. My sentiment is a dymo label.

Also at The Paper players  there is this sketch

I've made another Thank You card and find they are always useful.

I've gone with a mushroom theme.

Lasting memories stripes, stars and enamel dots

This is my next layout for Lasting memories where we are asked to feature stripes, stars and enamel dots (or in my case red rhinestones ). I ran out of enamel dots earlier today.

I've used diagonal green striped paper behing my photos and red stars on the edges of the layout plus a circle made from red rhinestones. It is 2 photos of the Grand Canyon which was so deep you needed a zoom lens to see the bottom!

At Aud Sentiments they want a summer card with a sentiment.

I used a pineapple picture that I had plus a wood veneer sun. There is also the sentiment "sunkissed". I thought this might be a bon voyage for someone going to tropical climes, like Hawaii .

Sketches in Thyme plus Artastic "boy" layout

I had this photo from my trip to Parkes. It qualifies as a boy (astronaut).

I'm combining it with 2 photos from "the dish" radio telescope at Parkes to do a space themed layout.

The criteria for Artastic is this....

CHALLENGE THREE – THIS or THAT CHALLENGE

BOY themed or GIRL themed
BLUE tones or PINK tones
BLING or BRADS
FLOWERS or CHIPBOARD
TWINE or WASHI
PAINT or INK
I've used blue,bling,chipboard (circle),washi and paint.
Oh Mr Spaceman is my title, based on an old song. Here's my layout.

Artastic sketch challenge

At Artastic's cyber crop there was also a sketch challenge featuring the above.

I'm still scrapping my Country towns trip,so here's another layout. This time it is Parkes.

My theme is Parkes' past and feature a statue of Henry Parkes plus the war memorial.
