The Road at Soul Scrappers and grid challenge at Counterfeit kits.

Counterfeit kits wanted us to scrap grid style.
That got me started, then at Soul Scrappers I found a challenge for a song but part of the lyrics was "The road". The perfect combination to do my straight road pictures from our recent holiday in W.A.
I'm pleased because I've used up lots of embellishments including the suitcase and another polaroid frame from a previous month.

White with one and watermelon.

The challenge is to use watermelon. I started by painting a mix of pink candy kaisercraft paint with a little red.
This was applied through a prima mask over 3/4 of the card and to a MEMORY MAZE arrow.
Down the LHS I added a chevron strip and ricrac in matching pink.
I then placed my photos of Kangaroo paws in Kings park in Perth, at an angle.
These were anchored by the journaling box from Elle's studio, plus some embellishments from Fancy Pants plus a wooden mini camera.
The quote which says "Life is a series of thousands of tiny miracles" is my title and very apt.
I haven't done WW1 challenges for a while but this one inspired me.

Goosey Christmas card

The challenge at The crafty room is to use a bird on your item.
Here's a Christmas card I made using scraps of coloured papers plus a downloadable digi picture.
I've used bling on the egg to add more sparkle and 2 tags from Kaisercraft's twig and berry collection.

Feeling Sketchy #72

The sketch at Feeling Sketchy looks like this

I recently bought some alpha tags and have decided to make cards using them.
The sketch suited the pink A tag. I mounted the patterned paper on another pale pink cardstock. I've placed the A tag to the right. Having been on Feeling Sketchy D.T. previously, I'm pleased to be able to complete one of their sketch challenges.

Try it on Tuesdays

Another card challenge.
This time it is "Try it on Tuesdays" where the theme is textures.
My hessian sentiment was nice and bold so I've matted it on brown patterned paper then added a tiny wooden camera with an enamel dot in its centre. A friend was just here and the first thing she did was rub over the hessian, so it is definitely tactile.

Seize the Birthday

The website named Seize the birthday was asking for a birthday card using autumn colours.
I immediately thought of the skeleton leaves I have. I've used 2 apricot coloured leaves over a patterned background then added a chipboard greeting.
"Celebrate every day as if it was your last" has been misted using sugar maple mist.

A fun layout for Artastic

This month on Artastic we are asked to use wood on a layout. In my case it is these cute little cameras.
The story behind this is that we rented the car & found it had the numberplate 1-DUM.I was waiting for comments but noticed we got many honks along the road.
Driving through the countryside I guess you have times to notice little things like cars honking.
The layout started off with 2 blue papers and the polaroid frame featuring a car. I then added some echo park stickers that I had won in a challenge. Instantly it became a fun page, so on went the stars ,cameras & tag saying "honk". Even my journaling block had a numberplate shape.
