At Use Your stuff this time we are featuring plaid.
This is my daughter's partner. The plaid background suited the photo and if you look closely you will see plaid on the "hello my name is" tag and the apple at the top.
I'm also entering this on double trouble where they require green and twisted sister focus is plaid.
I decided to use 2 of my blue papers, including the one that looks like crushed tissue paper. AS we were by the lake that plus the vellum gives a misty watery feel and even the middle paper resembles waves. (There aren't waves on Lake Burley Griffin but we can imagine them.
Our forgeries this month are many and varied but I decided to make flowers.
I started by punching flowers
Then you fold each flower into quarters. You need 4 from the same patterned paper plus another as your base. Adhere the 4 folded pieces.
I have a painting here of a jetty and surrounds done by a friend. Curiosity got the better of me so I decided to go and see it in real life. It is at Hen and Chicken bay near Concord.
I made my layout about the boat ramp/jetty.
My inspiration for the layout was Calvinball layout I found on You Tube.

Hers featured dogs and stars, mine features the wharf and punched flowers.
I used my Counterfeit kit including a computer number paper plus a lined stationery paper from Crate Paper named Maggie Holmes Lovely. The red paper is the Christmas paper I put in my kit and the blue was a scrap.
Following the You tube video I constructed my layout as close as I could. The tearing under the photo is hidden by the title and flower, but it's there. The obvious place for the journalling is on the lined paper.

Product Clues
I started with 2 older papers,one almost plain white, the other an argyle pattern.I matted using scraps of number triangles and checkered papers. I also used a chevron strip across the bottom.
Next I used 2 washi tapes that had mathematical formulars and measuring tape designs.
There are 3 canvas shapes on here that I misted with red. Some absorbed more colour than others.The largest circle is more samon pink. This adds flowers and old circular elements to the layout.
Design Clues
Used 2 patterned papers in the background with a strip across centre.

Keeping with the stationery/office theme, I made up this kit.
Private Secretary
At Unstampabelles they ask us to scrap lockdown.
One thing I missed most was buying a proper coffee at the stores. I had to be content with making it at home.
To go with my coffee I usually buy a cake, muffin or something to eat, so I came up with the idea of cooking muffins!
My muffin recipe is versatile and I can add various fillings ,depending on what I have here. I made quite a few batches over the time and shared them with neighbours and friends.
After the worst of lockdown I saw the sign at Muffin break and formulated this layout. My embellishments are from a set of covid papers I bought early on in the pandemic.
I hope you like it. Luckily here in Australia, the worst seems to be over. (whispering in case it hears me!)
